Hey Nikki. My name's Christine. I've been a member for a while, but started a body recomposition journey this week. My first time ever doing this properly. What's your fitness routine like?

i have education in tailoring. in dressmaking, we measure the spot that creases when you bend over sideways. so bend over sideways, and the place where your skin creases will be your 'natural' waist. :)

You look AMAZING. great job :)

HIIT also burns fat long after your workout. Lots of studies have proved this. That being said, a lot of HIIT routines INCORPORATE strength moves such as squats, pull ups, push ups and shoulder presses into the routine. The only difference is the increase in heart rate from the cardio element of HIIT, which makes it way…

my ALL TIME favourite... Raw cucumber with mustard. Try it, you will get hooked! :)

If I get a crazy craving, I just go ahead and have it. Just make up my mind that I'm going to have it, feel good about it, and move on from there. I haven't felt guilty about "junk food" in ages, I don't even remember the last time. And my diet is healthy, but not 100% clean. I have chocolate, coffee, cake, pizza, whatever…

I am an interesting mix. Ethnically Tanzanian, in East Africa, moved to Finland, northern Europe, and now I have a Finnish passport, so that makes me Tanzanian-Finnish. I bet you've never heard of that before

and This. definitely this :)

Try Pilates. Pilates is awesome for muscle awareness and the workouts can be just as excrutiating as weight lifting if not more. try out Blogilates by Cassey Ho: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bBk2oidYvE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FuxmXKqI0jw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVdng_dq-sE hope this helps :)

awesome job! i'm waiting to hit 20 pounds as well. I'm so excited :) you look great! and you have gorgeous hair!

might just be that your calves are not used to being worked out that hard. it might go away with time. :)

do you warm up well enough? you want to make sure you warm up properly for at least 5 minutes, then you can do some dynamic stretching. Here's a good tutorial video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGNPlcAkDa4 after your workout, you should stretch your whole body, including your calves while your body is still warm.…

This! :)

You know, I think it's great that your nephew wants to exercise with you. I think you should take that as encouragement and do it together. I understand you completely. When I started working out, I would feel so self-conscious at gyms. I was so out of shape and I was always wondering what people were thinking. But I did…

good job! your hamstrings and quads look good too :)

This? Anyway, only you know what works for you. Just remember to listen to your body and keep it happy and feeling good. Congrats on losing that weight and you look great! :)

on Gym days I usually do: 10 minute joint/dynamic warm up 20 minutes strength training (upper body/back/lower back, switching from day to day) 35 minutes HIIT on the elliptical or stationary bike. on non Gym days, I do a mix of HIIT, pilates, dance or other cardio, or power yoga for exercise :)

This! Also, try taking a rest break every 6 week for an entire week of no intense workouts. (walking, yoga etc. only) When you get back to working out, you become a BEAST! :) Good luck!

I LOVE Cassey, her videos are the best.. sooo damn hard but soo good and addictive. And she has the sweetest personality too, really inspiring. :)

Awesome job! BE proud of yourself! :flowerforyou: and just keep going.

This. It's just a word. It used to annoy me, but then I realised I was getting in my own way if a simple word can make me recoil like that. These days, I am interested in "skinny" food, as long as it tastes good and it's healthy :) I wouldn't mind being called skinny, but I wouldn't call myself that. I'd like to think I am…

LOL! This!

How do you know she doesn't work out? She works hard, apparently, otherwise she wouldn't be a famous model. Just because a model is plus size does not mean they don't work out or live an unhealthy lifestyle. You should know that industry-standard models (non plus size) are not an accurate representation of women in…

I am pretty similar to you. I also have thick thighs, even though I have never lifted heavy in my life. When I started working out, I lost inches, but gained weight. I think I gained something like 10 pounds of muscle, even though I became smaller. And now, the fat is starting to come off my thighs too. Have you ever tried…

SO wonderful to read your post! I am so inspired by you and wish you all the happiness and many, many more swimming sessions : :flowerforyou:

so awesome! :) you're so pretty!

this is the most touching story i've read on here. I was so shocked and hurt to hear how your family responded to your choice. Literally had tears in my eyes. :( I am so glad you are feeling better now, physically and spiritually. You look fantastic! You've made such a huge change! I can't imagine what it feels like on the…

Feel free to add me! :) I am 5 feet tall exactly, and 146 pounds :)

Heh, I just calculated.. I am 5 feet tall and my wrist size is 6.2"... so i have a freakishly large frame for my height :) I have always known this. As a teenager, I had an eating disorder because I thought I was "fat".. because I didn't look like the ideal 90's woman.. i.e. someone like Kate Moss with tiny wrists and…
