  • Paul McCartney - Out There Tour 2013. Amazing.
  • The voice in my head is a real jerk sometimes. You just have to learn to tune it out and keep doing what you're doing.
  • I'm 5'7 and eat 1750 calories a day, losing 1 pound a week consistently. I also eat back most of my exercise calories. Don't be afraid to eat what looks like a lot of calories - anything below maintenance level is a loss! Hope that helps :)
  • Hi Amy, Do you eat back your exercise calories? Thanks :)
  • So basically it's impossible for me to get a 2 pound a week loss without doing damage to my metabolism? With over 70 pounds left to lose, I find that hard to believe. I know 1 pound a week is a good loss, but at my weight I don't see why 2 pounds is not a possibility?
  • How do you get your teeth so white?! great vid!
  • Yesterday I weighed my greek yoghurt for the first time. I thought it was a healthy choice, but I had no idea how many calories it is! It's 160 calories for 4 ounces, which I thought wasn't bad at all, but when I weighed it I realized I was eating double the serving size. I pretty much undid my whole 30 minute work-out on…
  • I am a cat lover! I have an adorable cat called Pistachio. He's 3 years old and I've had him for about a year. Pictures do not do his cuteness justice though ;) Hope the pics work - first time trying to post.
  • I've only lost 5 pounds so far (been logging for about 35 days) and I still can't believe I've lost anything. In fact I go onto the reports section to see my progress and just run my mouse down the line of weigh-ins as it goes down on the chart.. I've never been able to lose any weight, it's just so surreal. If I knew…
  • I have the same craving each month. This month I've found some lowish calorie chocolate milk that I can sip which really curbs my chocolate craving and takes a bit more time to drink than eating a chocolate (it's gone in 1 minute!) Also, try chocolate covered strawberries - more chocolate bang for your buck! Just melt the…
  • Wait...White Collar got cancelled??
  • I'd love to be your friend! I'm looking for some nice people too. I've been on here for just over a month and am realizing the benefit of having friends on my page keeping me honest and to share in my small victories.
  • I have never been much of a binge eater. However, about a month ago I was taking my final exams. I ate: 1 large pepperoni pizza 1 bottle of coke 1 sharing bag of doritos 6 rice crispy treats 6 fruit roll-ups 4 chocolate pudding cups 1 red bull I was feeling so sick from the junk food that the next day I joined MFP and…
  • You look like a different person! Great job! :)
  • I gained quite a bit of weight when I got married. I love good food and my husband is an amazing cook who likes to eat too. We're both trying to get it under control now so we don't sabotage each other and so that we can have a healthy slim marriage.
  • I drink a cup of Irish Breakfast tea every morning with two cubes of sugar and milk. I like all black tea, but Irish Breakfast is my fav at the moment. I also love iced tea and it's pretty much all I drink other than water.
  • Went out to eat at a restaurant last night unprepared for the first time since I started logging. I chose something I thought would be lower in calories, and when I got home I checked it and logged it - it was the lowest calorie item on the menu! Yay for becoming more aware of calories and realizing I still can go out to…
  • Hi! Im on at nights because I have terrible sleeping habits. Nice to meet you :)
  • I have mixed feelings about low carb diets. My mother went on a low carb diet a few years ago and she did manage to lose a substantial amount of weight. But as soon as she started eating carbs again she gained all the weight back - plus some! If you don't think you can sustain it forever, I wouldn't recommend it. Then…
  • To be considered the pretty sister, not just the smart one. Yes, my family labels.
  • Hi, You are in luck, you've found a great website that really can help you get where you want to be. That's the first step. I've been in your shoes feeling like I am not motivated to change anything, too depressed to get up and do the simplest of things with no productivity at all. Here's how I started. I started logging…
  • Hi and welcome! I've only been on here for less than a month so far, but feel free to add me as a friend if you want some support. I don't have bad knees but I had noticed that running made them hurt a lot because of the weight my legs had to support with a high-impact exercise. I've been using the elliptical every second…
  • Elliptical person here. I find it burns the most calories in the least amount of time, which encourages me to go for longer to maximize my calorie loss. I'm not much of an outdoors person, and I don't mind the repetitiveness, in fact I like the routine. Also the elliptical is a LOT less hard on my knees so I don't feel…
  • I'm in the Seattle area but I'm not too sure about being able to do that yet! I just started my journey this month and I wouldn't consider myself that fit..

  • Haha.. As I suspected.
  • I was watching Dr. O today and he sad new studies have shown that if two people eat exactly the same calories, but one eats all the calories earlier in the day, that person will lose more weight that the person who eats later in the evening. I was shocked at this because I also thought that the time of day doesn't matter.…
  • I'm in the same boat. Been counting calories for three weeks and so far no results. I made a thread about this yesterday if you want to see some people's suggestions. Basically I got a lot of mixed advice, but I decided i'd raise my calorie limit a little bit just in case I wasn't eating enough for my body to want to lose.…
