The donut hole is just a fried piece of yeasted dough with a thin glaze of sugar on top. The cake pop, while the same size, is cake (fat + sugar + flour) mashed together with frosting (fat + sugar) and coated in chocolate (more fat + frosting). So, while they're both the same size, the cake pop is much more dense.

I used to hate all vegetables except for white potatoes and corn. Nowadays, I like pretty much all of them except for turnips and rutabagas.

I just microwave about 1/3 cup off plain popcorn kernels in a paper bag for about a minute and a half. If I have the calories to spare, I'll melt a tablespoon or so of buttery coconut oil and sprinkle some sea salt on it, and it's super good AND macro-friendly!

I like Garden of Life's products. They have several different proteins depending on what suits your needs, and they have some of the cleanest labels that I've been able to find for plant-based proteins. Personally, I really love their Vanilla Raw Meal.

Banana Split is better than Cookies ‘N Cream, IMO. That one just tastes like Corn Pops with chocolate chunks in it.

I’d say that swimming or walking would probably be your best choices, since they would t stress your back as much. For the muscle spasms, have you tried topical magnesium? I use a magnesium sports balm after I workout, and it really seems to help with cramping and soreness for me. You could also try epsom salt baths, if…

Some of us just get dealt the card for having small chests. I was never busty, even when I was fat. But hey, look at the positives! Girls like us can buy cheap, non-supportive sports bras while everyone else struggles to find ones that are supportive without constructing them to death. ;)

I lost all my weight a couple of years ago, but I remember that I resolved to lose weight because I wanted to be able to fit into clothes from American Eagle.

I've found that some brands dissolve better than others. Natural Calm and Garden of Life's Relax & Restore always dissolve pretty well for me, but Walmart's Spring Valley Magnesium never dissolves, no matter how I mix it up. I've gotten into the habit of just taking 4-5 caps of Pure Encapsulation's Magnesium Glycinate and…

Probably way too much, but grocery shopping is a hobby of mine, and I like buying all that organic/grass-fed/super-expensive stuff. And I also review food and snacks as a side job, so there's stuff associated along with that, too.

Same here! They must love all of us on this thread. ;)

I run at night, but I'm a natural night owl, so going to bed around 3-4 AM is normal for me. I work closing shift at a retail establishment, though (normally 1-9 PM) so my internal clocks meshes well with my work schedule. If you don't feel tired, then I don't see you as having a problem. Some people need more sleep than…

Best dessert sandwich ever: - 2 slices sprouted-grain bread - A sliced banana - Handful of pitted Medjool dates - Gobs of almond butter - 2-4 tablespoons of honey Directions: 1. Spread a thick layer of almond butter on both slices of bread 2. Arrange slices of banana to cover the almond butter on one slice of bread, and…

I actually think that most multivitamins are pretty worthless. The kind of people that actually regularly take the darned things usually eat well enough to not need them, and the people that could benefit from them usually aren't willing to take them regularly. I save my monthly supplement budget to focus on protein and…

How can these possibly be between 400-500 calories each? They're only three or four bites each. :'(

For all my fellow ALDIs shoppers out there: There's also a cookie dough flavor.

Most of them are a mix of caffeine, B vitamins, and some kind of nitric oxide booster. Effective, but pricey. I like Garden of Life's SPORT Energy + Focus personally, but I usually tell people to just go the cheap route and drink a coffee alongside a banana or other piece of small fruit about an hour before they go workout.

Based on the impressions that I get at work, (I work at a relatively popular, locally-owned health food store) I feel that the days of the "Paleo dieters" are pretty much over, but that Paleo-friendly, as a subtype of "health food" and supplements, is still really popular. I don't have that many people come in anymore that…

I just use the half and half. I figure that it’s 20 calories per tablespoon, so even 1/4 cup would still be less than 100 calories. And 1/4 cup of creamer makes A LOT of cups of coffee. When push comes to shove, I’ll use whole milk. Adding sugar to your coffee is really where the calories start to add up, IMO.

As far as the beef and pork is concerned, you can always buy leaner cuts. I like Laura's Lean Beef, myself. If you don't regularly eat greasy or fatty foods, the flora in your gut and the amounts of fat-digesting enzymes that your body produces will change over time to reflect that. Suddenly eating a bunch of fat or grease…

Here’s a review of them if you want to see it: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.theimpulsivebuy.com/wordpress/2018/03/16/review-fiber-one-limited-edition-birthday-cake-baked-bar/amp/

I’ve bought the cookies and cream ones! I actually like them better than the Quest version of the same flavor. They have more white chocolate chips and they don’t taste as artificially sweet.

And the angels at ALDI have blessed us all...

I love to make cookies with it. There’s some kind of compound in the sun butter that reacts with baking soda and makes the inside of the cookies turn green after they cool off.
-
I think that I’ve seen these before at Kroger. Or at least something similar to them, anyway. They were alright, but nothing special. The chocolate coating fell off super easily, and the Greek yogurt filling was kind of oddly crumbly. Not like cheesecake, and nothing worth seeking out specifically, but it also wasn’t…

Maybe they’re a love it or hate it kind of thing. They got an 8/10 here: https://www.theimpulsivebuy.com/wordpress/2018/04/25/review-my-oreo-creation-cherry-cola-oreo-cookies/ I’m like that about mayonnaise. I hate it and anything with mayo in it, but everyone else seems to love it.

For what it's worth, I can kind of understand their confusion. I work a cash register as part of my job, and once we key in a cash tender, it tells us what amount of change to give and we're supposed to put the amount of cash that we keyed in into the drawer. Giving any amount of change other than what the register tells…

I can’t speak about it for pain specifically, but I use CV Sciences CBD for recurrent tendinitis. I get tight muscles in my legs and feet that seem to trigger it, and the CBD really helps me as a muscle relaxant to keep it from flaring up.

I do my exercise at night. I work 2nd shift and I'm much more of a night person, so working out is SO much more enjoyable for me at 10pm vs 10am. I don't know how you morning people do it.

Good fish oil doesn’t taste “fishy”. That’s usually indicative of it being rancid. I’ve used Nordic Natural’s Ultimate Omega, and some of the Barlean’s Swirls before and I’ve never burped them before. Flax and Krill oil are also options for you if you’re looking for supplemental omega-3’s, but you won’t get as much EPA and…
