I received a NuWave Oven for Christmas from my dad. As soon as I saw the "As Seen on TV" label, I figured this was a piece of junk. But my parents insisted that it was great and they use theirs all the time. So we gave it a whirl. My fiance and I wanted to hate it, but....we like it. A lot. We now use it all the time and…

I'd be interested too!

I had a pet hedgehog (my screen name is based on him). He changed my life. <3 I love fruitcake and I get one for Christmas every year. I can't stand seeing any kind of insect up close, whether in photographs or TV. If watching a nature show, I am always on the alert for close up of bugs or spiders so I can quickly look…

Too funny!! I actually had Portillos this weekend, and was only able to do it because I found nutritional information on this site! The database on MFP is amazing! I had the chopped salad and used the dressing sparingly - and for a lunch meal, it wasn't bad at all. Check out the database here (just type in Portillos) and…

I'm 5'11", 182 pounds, and looking to get to my goal weight of 150. I wear a tight size 10 in most pants; and a M to L (mostly L because of the boobage) in shirts.

Trying this one for sure. Huge bowl of noodles under 200 calories. COUNT ME IN!

You deserve a pat on the back for getting back on the horse and coming back. That's the hardest part of anything new or challenging -- to keep at it and not give up! You CAN do this. If you are patient and honest with yourself, it will happen. Welcome back and let's kick that 50 pounds to the curb!!!!!!!!

aww, thanks for the check in and extra encouragement! YES, I am back to it! I am starting off from the very beginning again, so I am on Week 1. I found a podcast that "talks" you through it, which I like because it does provide that extra push I need, as well as keeping my mind off the fact that I am running. LOL. I've…

I found that Debra Moorhead site when I was trying to figure out what calorie count I should use. I think it makes sense, but it is confusing because MFP had me at 1200 (which I thought was too low) and doing "what I want to weigh" had me at 1733 calories, which I thought was too high. I just picked something somewhat in…

Hi Hannah! Welcome! I just started here too, and this is such a great site and group of people. Good for you for making the commitment to yourself to get healthy. These message boards are great - and the food tracking is very eye opening - you're going to love it here!

I'm new here too. Well...kinda new. I joined this site a few years back but didn't do anything with it. Now, I'm back and ready to really do this. I'd be happy to add you as a friend!

I think it really depends on how you carry your weight and your muscle mass. I am 5'11" and my goal weight is 150-155. I carry my weight all over, but mostly in my stomach area (I have never had a flat stomach -- no matter what weight I was). I am 183 now and have rolls of fat around my back and stomach. I see some girls…

Hi everyone! I started this summer, but then got off track. I am now starting from Day 1 again and hopefully will be able to stick with it. My problem is endurance - I don't seem to have it! I'm also using a treadmill. I find running outside to be even harder.

YES!!! Joining!!

I didn't get the breathing memo either! I've heard breath through your nose and out your mouth. I just can't seem to get enough oxygen in that way...and usually am panting like a dog too! LOL. I will try doing deeper breaths though. Thanks for the tip!!!
