My nutritionist has me on a 1200 calories a day target but I move up or down from that by 200. My cap is 1400. As I get closer to my target I will slowly up my calories by increments of 100 until I get to my maintain level. I work out almost daily if only to ride my stationary Bike for 15 minutes. I have missed very few days. :)

I make my own Flour from Mesquite Beans / pods. Its great for my Low Carb (Prediabetic) diet and tastes great. I mix it with Almond Flour and bake it into Bread just like regular White Flour but its much much better for you.

I have a large stack of NM Chilis in Freezer Bags right now. I add them to many of my dishes :)

White Egg omelet with NM Green Chili's cooked with Coconut oil topped with Salsa. Sometimes I substitute or add low fat cheese, mushrooms, etc. Yummy

I am T2 / Pre Diabetic. Doctor instructed me to eat like I was T2 to get my weight under control. The nutritionist has me target 35 to 45 carbs a meal. I try to eat 5 times a day about 3 hours apart. My son has UC and his "safe foods" are Potatoes, Squash, Oatmeal and Rice. His "bad foods" are Milk, Lettuce and Cheese products. Since he determined this type of categorization it has helped him tremendously.
