Small steps - Start off with walking then pick up the speed on that before long you may think to yourself I can add a little jog in here. move onto small running targets, I always do any of my runs tree to tree or lamp post to lamp post, there's not a lot of pressure doing it that way. I did 7k couple weeks back using the…

Congrats! I completed a half marathon yesterday, few more than the 2500 that joined you, I had 55000! Brilliant day, got round in 3.01.50 which is not a personal best but is 30 mins quicker than my 2010 run! It's an awesome feeling isn't it, just knowing you have done it all by yourself Congrats again!! :flowerforyou:…

Thank you so much. I can't see the change in my person but obviously pics dont lie so I'm happy to take that as proof for now :-) I am about 5ft 3 tall and my goal is to reach down to 10st before allowing for a bit of gain when toning up I'm sure you're doing just as well as me too... keep going

Thank you I'm not doing anything spectacular, I'm just sticking to my calorie goal (most days) and adding some exercise here and there. I'm also in training for a half marathon in 4 weeks time but I'm not actually running, I'm not allowed to under doctors orders so I've literally been walking everywhere I can... nice long…

I have not long started this App too, Davina can be a killer but the old motto of "No pain, no gain" comes to mind

I don't like it on it's own but we make a low calorie meal with it by mixing it with fresh garlic and herbs and stuffing chicken breasts then wrapping the chicken in parma ham... this is probably one of the only ways I can eat it

I think what the OP is implying is that like many of us on here we all think and maybe are overweight whereas OP is admitting she knows she isn't overweight and just wants to change for herself so get back to her happy place. I'm not long on these boards and have mainly read nothing but helpful and informative comments,…

Still looking at scales for me and then once I've reached my goal I will start on the measurements. I have made measurements at the start and will record them once a month for now but the scales are my guide at the minute

Riiiiiight, so as long as my net is 1200 then I'm OK? (Again I'm sorry lol)
-
I'm hitting 1200C/D sometime maybe just slightly over - Yesterday eg: I used1275c but didnt really go into any of my exercised back calories Sorry, I'm a bit slow on picking all this up so if you feel I'm going round in circles please just tell me LOL
-
Thank You for your reply MFP has me set up for 1200C/D I normally gain back about 300C doing exercise (mainly walking for now on advise of doctor) which would then allow me to eat around 1500C/D but I find once I've had my main meal at around 5/6pm I don't want to eat and I still have (mainly) my exercise calories…

Is it better to eat calories lost from exercise or not when aiming for weight loss?

Definitely do it!! You will love it! Just knowing that you have finished is the ultimate buzz - Don't worry too much about your time I've done 2 x 10k runs this year so far and I have a half marathon in 10weeks. If I'm honest I did no training for either of my 10k's as I was just lazy and I managed them in around 1.26. I'm…
