would love to do a tri, only manage a duathlon, go swimming once a week but really struggle, the head movement makes me dizzy..crazy I know, keep meaning to go docs and find out why, but too busy training..good luck with your marathon..happy training

MFP my fitness pal..done three halfs, two nice flat ones and one very hilly one in Spain..my 1st marathon, I think my last, although I love running i also like mountain walking, cycling and cant fit it all in while training..started fell running a few weeks ago and really enjoy that more than road running..not enough…

Marathon training also, always worried that I was eating either too much or not enough..mfp is really good for controlling what you eat. what marathon are you doing and when, I am doing Edinburgh in May, training going ok, but really takes over your life. good luck with your marathon.

pretty cool website, brought back roughly save calories as MFP..so hopefully the proof will be in the weigh in on Tuesday. Shall be using this site on a regular basis tho..thanks

sorry that should read 7000 feet not metres..typical me feet / metres, left/right, north/south no wonder I have a problem navigating.

No I dont use the HRM..but I certainly felt like more effort went into it than when I have ran for 2 hrs and burn off more calories.

resting time included, but to be honest if we stopped it was only to get something out of our rucksacks to eat while walking or to put another layer on, the weather wasn't very friendly and you soon got cold if you stopped.

I dont think you will have a problem running that distance, even if its a slower pace, you have plenty of time to get training in, how far can you run at the moment before you have to walk ? just increase that week by week, stick with you will get there, good luck
