  • There is a really great salt water solution spray that you can get at pharmacies for like 5 bucks, it's wayyyyy easier to deal with than soaking it, plus you don't need to touch the affected area. Do that for a few days, I would try not to frig around with it too much because that can irritate it as well.
  • get a bikini with a good chunk of structure and it'll help with the confidence! The right bathing suit= extra confidence, the wrong bathing=not so much. But also just remember not nearly as many people are as concerned about what you look like in a bikini than you think!
  • I'm one of the those ladies who gets TERRIBLE pain, due to a condition where basically I get the pain of two periods at once. I also hate taking medicine, but do in those situations. I also use heat pads, and have just ordered myself a TENS machine, which some lovely ladies with the same condition as me have said willl be…
  • Hey everyone! I'm at 1200 cal a day, and have been for almost 6 months, and am down 30 pounds (i know my ticker says 20.. it's a long story lol) I try to eat back my exercise calories, and have one meal a week which is over my calorie. I do need to add in more protein, but I am just not a big meat eater, I'm going to be…
  • Yep, eat back your work out calories :) so if you exercise and burn 300, eat 300 cal. Lots of people have a huge hate on for 1200 calorie a day, but if you feel comfortable with it, and are happy with it you should be okay. I'm on 1200 a day as well, mostly because I am very sedentary (I work from home), but when I work…
  • I agree with you mom. Currently you value eating the "yummy" foods in larger quantities than is healthy over a healthy moderate diet. I also don't like exercising, and I love delicious foods, but I've put being healthy at a higher value than overindulging. For me there was no epiphany, I simple said to myself one morning…
  • I can COMPLETELY relate, like 100%. I used to be stick thin, had abs, was healthy etc. I moved to university and ended up getting a really bad stomach illness, I could barely eat but ballooned up about 50-60 pounds in year, which made me go from about 120 at 5'8, to 185 at 5'8. I went to dr's numerous times before they…
  • Smooth coated Collie named Shelby who thinks she's a person. Wanting to get her a playmate in the not so distant future.
  • As I write this, I am eating ice-cream lol! The first month I looked at a scale the first day and not until the last day, I knew I would get to hung up over the number instead of how I feel. Now I weight frequently but that is only because I'm a data nerd and find data trends interesting, I wouldn't recommend weighing…
  • I"m late on this one too. 1.) From Dartmouth, NS, unlike most Easterners who move out here, my hubby doesn't work in oil and gas, he does policy work for the Government. I work from home (kept the same job I was doing in Dartmouth and just set up a home office). 2.) Have one dog Shelby, and two cats Winston Churchill and…
  • About the cigarette thing- I've actually talked to a doctor about that because my friend got the same advice, he said the withdrawal from stopping cold turkey could hurt the baby, that's why they suggest that. As for the dumbest advise I've ever gotten , when we were considering adoption "if you adopt maybe you'll relax…
  • I feel your pain. I weight myself everyday mostly because I like numbers, but now that I've seen the trend where each month it goes up a few pounds , so it's less startling for me. :)
  • It sounds like your fiance is a problem solver like my hubby, so when I just want to talk to him and not get feed back I just tell him that. And if I want advise I tell him that. So if you just want someone to talk to, just tell him that is what you want. It doesn't need to be so complicated, or dramatic. simply... listen…
  • You betcha! I have either ice cream or chocolate every day. Unless it doesn't fit into my macros. I know myself well enough to know that cutting out delicious food is just a bad plan for me. I didn't get here for a lack of a love for food, I just am eating less of it.
  • My belly is the last place for me to loose, so in the meantime if I'm wearing a particular tight top or dress I wear a girdle! Undergarments are key, and it's not like an old grannie one either, it's lacy and girlie and lovely, I feel very feminine in it. I got mine from my local retro style clothing store, but you can…
  • I would up your calories if you're exercising that much. That being said... how long has the plateau lasted? weight lose usually comes relatively quickly at first and slows down. I frequently have a few weeks at a time with no weight lost. Just keep chugging away, you'll get there.
  • I'm currently TTC my 1st. I've had two miscarriages but am still hopeful that I will be successful next time. I definitely recommend buying OPK tests online, SO MUCH cheaper than in stores. Feel free to add me :)
  • If there is a high amount of iron in it it can make you quite nauseous. If possible , cut in half take half in morning and half at night, that could help with it. I went to the doctor because of the same issue and it cleared right up. Hope that helps.
  • As far as cheat days go, I try to just have a cheat meal a week. That way I don't go over significantly, I also usually make sure to exercise that day. I just don't do full on cheat days because I know myself and I would it ALL the food, and it would really cut into the progress I had made throughout the week.
  • I think that different things work for different people. I do 1200-1400 a day and am loosing steadily, I picked that because I truly fit into the sedentary category, I do however eat back most my exercise calories. For toning I would take up strength training, but you may also need to up your calories to accommodate it.
  • One of the dumbest ideas out there.- sorry.
  • From your posts it seems like your life is completely caught up in his decisions. Maybe you should take some time to figure out who you are without him, and than see what happens from there.
  • Maybe everyone is hibernating? :)
  • I have two cats and a dog, my dog is kind of a moron so she has a tendency to run into the Christmas tree. (whole other issue) I don't put any ornaments on the lower half of the tree, I don't keep any tinsel whatsoever on it, because cats will eat and could require some serious surgery. The only other thing I can think of…
  • I don't want to sound mean, or unsympathetic to your situation. But ultimately it's you who decides what to eat, and ultimately it's you who needs to get the will power, or strength or whatever it is to make the changes necessary. It seems like frequently someone makes a change and they are really excited about these…
  • I know that a lot of people are giving fantastic advice about your daughter, but I just wanted to say that I cannot imagine how stressful this must be for you, do you have an outlet for this stress, maybe once she is able to start focus on getting the help she needs, family counselling would be good. I do hope that she is…
  • I like it mostly because it's really versatile, So I can cook some up with cinnamon and raisins and have it for breakfast. Or I can make it in a stir fry for supper. So frequently I'll just do up a larger batch, separate it into supper and breakfast containers and go from there. It helps that there is a good chunk of…
  • you didn't . your scale is broken.
