Leptin levels and adaptation(something nobody ever looks at) plays a huge part in all this mdoyle. You can read up more on that if you want and everybody is different. Long story short, you may want to increase your cals for a week again before you continue your diet, and you might want to change your exercises around.

Exactly =). It's not surprising to look much more lean and to weigh less after a cheat day. Your muscles get filled up with carbs again, your leptin levels increase and your metabolism gets a kick. You'll burn more in the long run.

I cheat once every 3 weeks where I stuff my face with all the sweets I want(donuts, ice cream, cheesecake, etc etc) and I follow it with a day of no eating at all. On my cheat day, I probably hit about 10k cals. I'm fairly lean and at a carb deficit every day so my cheat day kick starts my metabolism and leptin levels. If…

I actually only wrote "jus sayin" to kind of start a debate =) As for goals, everybody has different goals but I am assuming the majority of people on Myfitnesspal wants "look better". Hi Squirrelzzrul, You can sustain your weight and/or lose weight while lifting heavy and eating less. Just make sure you have your diet in check and you're lifting some heavy *kitten* weights - you'll be good to go.
