That's so funny you posted this, I *just* bought Honeysuckle White's "Hot" Turkey Sausage to try for the first time ever! I do plan on grilling them, as I think grilling makes everything taste better. I ADORE a hot Italian sausage on a hoagie bun with sauteed peppers & onions with marinara and shredded mozzarella melted on…

What StrawberryDrIp said! I felt the same way. It took me a good 3 days for my stomach to adjust, it may take a week, but it will happen quicker than you think.

No biggie. Like everyone above said this is a lifestyle change. You're allowed to enjoy things such as a glass or two of wine, as long as it is not in excess. If you're a bit too tipsy/full-bellied to exercise now, just do it in the a.m. or some time tomorrow. Maybe you having 2 glasses of wine was your subconscience…

Oooh, you found your TOM fix! Those do sound YUM-O. ;) Awesome! So far I just indulge on whatever sweet/baked good we have at that time, and try not to overdo it.

Just look for the multi-grain, whole grain, or natural tortilla chips, and check for low fat content, esp. the saturated fat. (And if it applies to your needs lower salt content.)

onawho - LOL. I SHOULD sit outside 20 min a day. I sure as heck need it. I probably wll be outside more soon, we're just getting over our long grey Cleveland winter here. :) Good point on keeping articles peer-reviewed. A prof at the community college was always drilling that into our heads - and with good reason! Your…

dawntodusk - I agree with most of what you say, except for the "it's not hard" part lol. If you had ever eaten the sort of diet I was eating prior to my using MFP, you'd understand. :) Well, maybe you were and you're just tougher than me. ^_^ Now, the cereal I am eating has 6 g, my dairy skim milk in the fridge has 12 g,…

e1lindsay - Your rule of thumbs seem really sensible. And what you do at the end of the day is what I've been doing so far, I just sort of look over it and analyze where majority of it derived from.

The Goktor - Ofcourse common sense is my guide. :) MFP isn't some sort of food bible lol. I was just a bit taken aback that my sugar was doubled and beyond.

SaraTonin - I do remember learning that in school about the complete amino acids in milk. erisfreenici - interesting Time article. I like how Time included both sides of the debate unlike so many one-sided articles and sites. I'm still confused as ever but atleast I feel better, lol.

I am glad to hear others are a bit confused by it as well. ruffledviolet - no worries, I don't rely on the internet for everything. :) I just use it as a platform. I actually had a dr appt today for blood work and asked my primary care physician about which milk I should be drinking. She knows I am trying to lose weight,…

Ahhh, I see. I was not concerned about the sugars affecting my weightloss as whatever I am doing now eating-wise seems to be working. I guess b/c I am borderline prediabetic (I have a few signs of insulin resistance or something) I just wanted to do everything in my power to reverse whatever I have already done. But I…

It simply goes along with the username. I'm too embarrassed to put up a real pic. Even when I was thin I hated photos lol.

Thank you everyone! Considering my body type/fat distribution I like the idea of taking note of my measurements at my higher natural waistline as well as my widest part below the belly button. And I'll also do my best to stay consistent. :) Thank you again.
