I lost my father at 25 to a brain aneurysm that burst. It was awful. I watched him pass away. This was about 2 yrs ago. I took it very hard. He was my best friend. Sorry for your loss. I know the pain.

You should NET 1200 cals a day, with or without exercise. Try it out & I bet the scale will start moving down, again. Also, a plateau is 4-6+ weeks of no weight loss. You haven't hit one, I think if you NET 1200 a day, you'll get back on track :) best of luck!

For your height, your weight is excellent, you probably can't lose any weight coz your body doesn't want to. I recommend telling your boyfriend to get use to it. This is something I have been driving myself nuts with! I have 13.5 lbs left to lose. I have my weekly weight loss goal at 1lb a week. I should change that to 0.5 a week???

Wow! This whole thread has been so helpful. I have never heard of 10/1 for distance runs. I have not been able to get pass 5 miles. I am going to try this tonight. I thought it was a mental block coz I went from jogging outdoors to the treadmill. I am hating the treadmill. Great advice, here :)

When people get on the treadmill that is next to me & they start jogging after I did but they get off the treadmill before I do. Gives me a little boost, even if they were only on it as a warm up ;)

Me too! Same foot. Someone told me loosen my shoe laces. It helped but it still happens on my long jogs.
