Far North coast of Calif here. It does seem like the sidewalks get rolled up at 6:00 or so!

I have a son who is the same way. He's always had well defined muscles. He's 12 now and has been working out with me when he wants to (about 1/2 the time) for about a year. I was told not to worry about it as long as he can do 15 reps with a weight with good form. He thinks it helps him to concentrate in school. Doesn't…

I was in a a similar boat last December, so I empathize. Add me if you would like.

LOL. Add me if you'd like

46 here, with 50 to go. Here's to a challange :)

If I eat it I write it. It's about being accountable and respecting myself warts and all.

i'm 5'0" like you. Trek is the only road (not mountain) bike that I've ever been able to fit. I have an aluminum frame. It has 27" wheels (standard size) and has a 19" frame. Women can get away with a bike that is slightly larger than a man can get away with
-
Sure, I'll try it. 5'0" and 181
-
I'm 5'0" in the morning. (In the afternoon I'm a bit shorter lol) I'd like to be 120-130. Less than 120 and I don't feel strong, but that's just me
-
I also am on my second go. Not quite up to my highest weight, but close. Friend me if you'd like.

You can add me too. Ive returned after a long time away. Trying to get back on track. I'm from the northwest tip of California:smile:

I'm working on o goal of being able to run for 15 minutes straight. Today, I walked ten minutes on the treadmill at 3.5 mph and ran 5 minutes at 5 mph. It was exactly 1 mile. I burn 107 calories.according to the treadmill. I'm 180 and that's a factor too.

Hi all. I'm 5'0" in the morning (I shrink a bit as the day wears on), weigh 179 and am 45 years old. I would love to talk with people who are working with the same challenges. Feel free to add me. :)

Your husband's boss can make his own blank wafflecake. Unless of course, he is willing to pay you for your time and ingredients.

169 this morning. It'll be tough to lose 10 in a month, but I'll give it a go.

He just cheated himself with those words. Good for you for believing in yourself and not him. You are already a success for being strong enough to come here. I wish him luck in his own life, he's gonna need it.

44, and I hear ya! Request sent

Thank you all. I had fasting labs done about 3 months ago and everything was fine, but I think I'll bug my doctor and see what he thinks of all this. And the meditation idea is a good one I'll try that, Thanks again:happy:

You have been so encouraging to me, even though we have never met. Thank you. Food can be so comforting when we are going through hard times. Maybe trying to make it good food will help. The others are right, you've done this before and you can do it again!! It's not a screw up, it's a lesson learned!

What an inspiring post, and a great NSV, Congratulations!!!

5 feet in the morning,I always joke, but it's true 4'11" in the afternoon. I'm in. :)

I talked with a dietian who recommends 200-300 cal per meal 6 times a day, depending on how many daily calories are recommended for you. She urged me to try a fill 1/2 my plate with vegetables for lunch and dinner. The six meals a day feels like grazing to me!
-
I've had that problem as well. I usually increase or decrease my minutes on the machine until it comes close to the actual calories the machine says. So my diary says things like "Stationary bike- 34 minutes or ellitical 41 minutes" lol.
-
Sounds good

Ain't it great that you can burn calories while having fun? I agree with Helen try to eat as many back as you can comfortably while staying away from complete junk food. Great start!!
-
Thanks for your help everybody. I ate about 1000 calories for dinner and a snack, and I'm pretty stuffed.

Nicely written. Good info
