A girl I work with actually did that - she was right around 275, and she purposely gained about 50 lbs over a course of a year in order to qualify to get gastric bypass. :huh: :huh: Lucky for her I guess the surgery was a success - she had it done about 7 years ago and still seems to successfully keep the weight off.…

Being friends with married friends who have the same fb account - I hate it!! I never know who's doing the 'typing'. Am i talking to the husband or the wife. Not to mention I think it's DEFINITELY ok, to have your own hobbies, interests and if my husband wants to like Yogapants on fb - i don't want that crap on mine!…

been there done that - not worth the money and the pills were outrageous to take! My advice - follow the diet plan that goes with it (you can find recipes online) - my husband and i follow those recipes a lot! :)

My husband and I've done the same thing - day 8 of no alcohol for us as well... It's amazing the changes and the amount of stuff we've accomplished on the weekends, now that we don't drink/aren't hungover!!

a few sodas a year is nothing to really worry about- as long as you factor them into your calorie allotment you should be good. Everyone deserves a treat now and then. I treat myself with diet soda about once or twice a week (which is great improvement for me, I was usually drinking 3-4 sodas a day!) :sick:

I did - my weight usually fluxuates between 140.5 and 144.5 - and today i was at the top end of that scale. I'm assuming once the water weight drops, i'll be back down towards 142ish... not too bad.

I have to say you all are an inspiration - I've just started going to the gym (I know, terrible). But last week I started with 15 mins treadmill (1 mile) – I did the machine circuit once, and finished with 5 minutes on the elliptical. I was drenched and felt like my legs were rubber!:grumble: (that was a week ago today)…
