  • I've heard information similar to what angelsandheal wrote. A balanced diet of whole foods should likely not cause concern. During my strict vegan days I had blood tests done as well and no deficiencies came up. I've always taken a daily multi-vitamin, though.

  • Get them out of the house--throw them away! If the voice in your head is telling you not to waste food, remind yourself regardless of whether they're in the garbage or in your body--they're still going to waste.
  • As an aside, I'm using The Beck Diet Solution along with this site as part of my fitness/weight loss goals. It's written by Dr. Judith Beck, the daughter of Dr. Aaron Beck who founded Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. The book uses CBT techniques and it's been very helpful to me.
