Thank you for this!

Weights. Weights. Weights. Learn proper form. Try CrossFit for a few weeks (to learn). Stick with the basics. Don't be timid. Just do it. There is nothing that works as well at making you look good (well, body weight exercises awesome, too).

I came back after about a year or a little more and it seems less tedious. Also, the barcode snapshot thing works great. And there are ways to add regularly eaten foods. Look for My Foods and stuff like that. As tedious as it might seem though, adding the food, watching your nutrients, really using this app, works…

You can add me. I haven't participated in the community aspect but I'd love to lend my support and cheer you on. As someone said before, this really works. It's amazing if you're willing to be honest with yourself and consistent. And if you're willing to ask for help, which obviously, you are, so you can be successful!

Hello all, Thanks for your informed replies. Maybe I'm not plateauing. I guess I saw this weight this morning and let my mind automatically go there because my plateau weight for the past 5 years has been right here. I won't let it stop me! It's probably somewhat mental. Like, I've gotten stuck here before so I just let…

I definitely log the wine! I log every morsel and drop. I have never felt quite so anal about something but I guess it works!

Hi. First of all, I'm so sorry for your loss. I understand as our family has just gotten through a very devastating time. In fact, September was the first month everything has felt back to normal around here since January 2014. I encourage you to do the following, considering what I went through and how I feel about my…

Yoga! Find a great teacher and stick with it. You will come to love it and the strength gained from XFit will be obvious.

Beautiful. If people could have "before" pics like these, it might motivate them to the "after" pics. You could expand your business by helping people this way.

Thank you for the great info!

Look up "Bulgarians" on YouTube and do those. Just lifting weights, doing resistance training, burns fat. Watch your diet. But do Bulgarians. And squats, and deadlifts. And learn to do them correctly.

Awesome! Congratulations!

I don't know anything about what Herschel is doing these days, but it's awesome to read about him! I'm 49 -- he was a huge star at UGA back in our day! So glad he's doing well. It truly is hard to believe that's all he eats, but I have just 3 observations (maybe more if I get on a roll.) 1) I have been trying to follow my…

I'm so glad you asked this question, and loved reading the responses. I'm 49 and I haven't noticed anything different except that it takes a bit longer to lose weight, but like one poster wrote, with consistency, it happens. There are a lot of serious lifters at my gym, many over 40, and some very impressive 60+ folks who…

How are you going to do it? I recommend her plan and weights: http://buffmother.com/my-story/ (If you're a woman). Good luck!

Congrats to your healthier, happier, hotter self!!!

No changes! Keep on keepin' on!

Go here, read her story, buy the book "Hormonal Timing", do it. Make your own "Success Journal" if you need to (hers is too confusing for me -- you'll see it when you buy the book). Don't be a stripper -- it's demeaning. I don't care how much money you might make -- work hard at a respectable job, be on time, you will…

Well, might be if you're only 5'5"...

Interesting...didn't know Trader Joe's owned Aldi!

Thank you. It is a relief, isn't it?

Wow! Haven't seen chicken that cheap in years around here!

I find this answer to be the most common. I would say the majority of girls never do "weight-lifting" in school so don't have any amt of comfort level with free weights. 25 years ago I somehow found out about Rachel McLish and I bought her book and taught myself what to do at the gym because I wanted to look like her.…

That's awesome that you posted that picture. Perfect. Congratulations, Ed!
