  • Premiere Protein Shake or Chobani Greek Yogurt (some fruit flavor) or 3 Scrambled Egg Whites (Turns out most of the stuff you don't want while dieting is in the yolks) The shake fills me up more than the yogurt, but I tend to have an early morning snack every day anyway, like carrots/hummus, etc, so it works out.

  • Keep up the good work. It gets annoying, but eventually, the logging can be so much easier because what you're learning that first month are the things you can and shouldn't eat. You get a good idea on gauging or approximating calories and then you can enter them in bulk at the end of the night or if you have a mobile app…
  • I've not had too many brands, but I LOVE Chobani, and I am not a big greek yogurt fan. The box they have at Costco has 3 flavors (Peach, Strawberry, and Blueberry). I love them all, low cal, and tons of protein to keep you full for a while.
  • I don't have experience in the exact question, but I will say tools like MFP should help not go back to gaining weight. I think a lot of the yo-yo problem exists because people diet, probably incorrectly, lsoe the weight, then revert back to their old ways. With MFP, even though I hit my goal, I still use the site every…
  • Just add in whatever you eat on your chart. Nothing should be considered negative. Take an apple, for example. They run from say 80-130 calories. I'm no expert, but would be willing that you are not going to burn all those calories off just through digestion. My advice : Just enter everything you eat in your diary.
  • I lost all my weight going over on protein by a lot every day. The only way I could survive most days was with protein rich things. It's the protein that kept me full. I mainly just focussed on keeping my calories under and ignored everything else :) Not necessarily the best method, but it worked great.

  • Good to see others using this. I noticed a friend of mine on here doing a lot of walking/running and noticed his numbers kept going up. He told me he was using the same app. So I downloaded it today and plan on giving it a go! Good to see others have had success as well.
  • I'm the same. Crystal Light is awesome.
  • The key I think to this site is to make sure you use it all the time. Install the mobile app on the phone and place the link in your browsers toolbar button. After a couple weeks, it gets easier as it remembers your recently eaten food... and quite frankly, you will tend to repeat eat a lot of things. And be honest to the…
  • I actually posted some ideas in my blog: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/jcott28
  • I've tried quite a few, and by far I love the Premier Nutrition High Protein Chocolate Shakes. I get them at Costco. 30g of protein, 160 calories. Pour it over ice and it's a great breakfast. It keeps me full until lunch and at only 160 calories allows me to have a bigger lunch and dinner than if I have Oatmeal or…
  • Give it another couple weeks, but in general, that's fast. However, as has been pointed out, you'll lose more now than later. So don't be discouraged when all of a sudden you're losing 1.5/week. But if you continue to lose at this rate after another 2-3 weeks, then you might need to adjust. Talk to your doctor if you're…
  • If you lost 25 pounds on the old scale, then you've still lost 25 pounds. You might just be a bit further from reaching your goal, but it doesn't change the weight loss. If, however, you changed scales, then measured your weight and that new number is 25 pounds off, then you've probably lost 18 pounds. Just adjust…
  • Remember a few years back when Eggs were evil too! Splenda was a great help for my diet. They use it to make the sugar free Torani's (the syrups used at tons of coffee shops). Enough of anything might kill me. For now, I think a few packets of splenda a day is the lesser of two evils (if it's evil at all).
  • Fast food is tricky. But the good news is, most places have at least one decent thing you can get should you end up there. The key is knowing what those things are. If you have an iPhone or Android, get the myfitnesspal application for it and it can help you in unknown cases. But take for example Jack in the Box. Grab the…
