Mine is hidden because it is for my benefit. I don't want to share it with others, it's a calorie counting tool for me and nothing more. I rarely post on the forums either, people use the site for different reasons I think.

I have hypothyroidism and am on quite a high dose of thyroxine, I had gained 2.5 stone (35lbs) before being diagnosed (also due to a pregnancy). Before my thyroid stopped working properly, I found losing weight easy by following a low fat diet and controlling calories. I have had weeks since diagnosis where I have eaten…

Surely if you have a midwife with you, she will be looking for warning signs anyway? I've had 3 homebirths and all were beautiful and incredibly empowering. We didn't have a midwife here for the final birth, so delivered her alone. She was 10lb 3oz and the experience was amazing. I'm a massive fan of homebirth, but it's…

That's amazing Amy - a stone in a month is great when you don't have a lot to lose!

Hello! I haven't used the other forum much yet but will have a look again. My name on there is bumzilla  I only lost a pound this week but it's quite normal for me to lose erratically so not worrying too much yet. I have another 2- 2.5 stone to go (depending on what I decide when I've lost more).

I'm doing fine, the exhaustion and feeling crap have stopped now and I never feel hungry anymore, even if I haven't eaten. Bizarre, is that because I'm in ketosis? I had a real downer on day 9 though, I just couldn't face food at all and wanted some porridge. I didn' t cheat, though. Dinner was yummy tonight- roasted some…

I've bought some olives today, yum :) I am a cheeseaholic so I suppose I need to watch my portion sizes. I'm enjoying being allowed nuts.

Lots of familiar faces here! Hi ladies, I have started this diet and am not feeling too good physically at the moment. I'm exhausted and feel like I have mild flu, the book wasn't lying about that! Anyway I guess this is pretty much the Atkins diet with the odd twist, I've never tried it before. The only way I've ever lost…

I think you might be right. I've just had a look at some of those links, and maybe 1200 calories is too few for me. I might try 1400 and see if my progress is any better. Thankyou!

I'll go and read that, thankyou :=)

Nope, it's the week after my period :-( I think I'm drinking a lot as well. I'm really confused. I've felt really tired this week and was hoping to see another comfortable weight loss so I could up my calorie intake a bit, but now I'm wondering what to do. I can't really go lower than 1200 calories but I'm not losing…

Yep, I'm on a low fat, low GI diet.

I weighed myself at exactly the same time of day, in underwear and a top, on the same scales.

If you want to take in extra calories and still lose weight, you need to fill up on low fat, high fibre foods- maybe an extra sandwich with wholemeal bread , mackerel or scrambled eggs on toast etc?
