I don't count my exercise calories at all on any of my diary entries, what I do instead is have a cheat dinner twice a week, work out how many calories I am beyond my daily limit and then double that number and burn off that amount at the gym before I can cheat again. My appetite has stayed the same, am losing roughly the…

I compromise, I like ice cream but I also like the cross trainer so if I have a treat/cheat dinner and dessert I will calculate the calories I am over for the day and burn that amount (plus a staggered penalty) on the cross trainer over a day or a few days and thus enjoy the best of both worlds, yummy treats and getting…

Sent you a friend request :) You can do this, don't think you have to be perfect either, just be good most of the time. Work on getting as much water as you can into your body, when I began I could barely stomach 5 cups a day so it does take time but will make a big difference. I am at the point now I have all 5 food…

Had a really bad day Saturday, went 4800 calories over MFP limit. Would usually take it as a bad thing and just keep eating worse and worse. This time I took it as an opportunity and (although gym machines are not 100% accurate) I burnt off every single one of those calories on the elliptical trainer in 4 days. So if you…

Find something you enjoy and it will almost be like fun. Then set yourself little challenges along the way. I use the elliptical trainer most and give myself little challenges each time I use it, eg calorie goal, time goal or even to beat my best workout. Sure, it can be boring at times, especially when you do a long…

Thank you for your reply. Have been eating pretty bad since Easter on and off, am 11kg up on last Christmas even, only plus has been the extra fitness gains. It is all so confusing sometimes, I can always lose more then I gain in any one week if I work hard, but still feel guilty about eating as much as I do at my worst. I…

For a while there I was having one cheat meal a week then it started turning into 3 times a week then for a while there every day. I think depending on how many calories you save the rest of the week giving yourself and metabolism a spike is not necessarily a bad thing as long as you can be disciplined the other 6 days.

Go to class, you will be glad you did

Enjoy your journey here, this place was a lifesaver for me back when I started, with the right motivations anything is possible I promise :)

I started out at 275lb July 2013. By December 2013 I was 198lb so is doable, I did it healthy, if you have the right motivation it can be very easy. If not it can be a losing battle.

I have zero motivation right now, today has been a real bad day food wise, I think the key is just making sure that if you do indulge that you make it a once off only, I mean one bad day isnt gonna destroy all our good work :)

1. Sultana Bran Buds 2. Banana 3. Chewing Gum  4. Orange Juice 5. Chewing Gum again  and if not counting gum then 6. Wholemeal Bread 7. Light Cheese

I agree that the view from after doing it compared to the view before starting is a way more positive bright one. I also agree that compared to how hard I thought it would be it has actually been much easier

I buy bottled water on the way when I am going to dinner with friends, means I get two extra cups and may eat just a little less at dinner too which are both not bad things

Chicken and chips but with a mountain of bread :(

I reward myself once a week or so with a big delicious dinner so it's not total deprivation and on other days, along with drinking plenty of water I chew gum.

You actually have to add the workout calorie burns into your app, then you will have 1460 calories per day + whatever you burn in your workout.

I drink pepsi max, and coke zero, a few times a week, simply to take a break from the water i drink and to get something tastier that also had minimal calories. My cravings only spiral when i start eating bad foods, not from the soda. Sure it may be bad, and even deadly, but somethings gonna kill us, might as well enjoy…

I find once your body gets used to the routine the energy returns. I do gym classes of an evening now and have energy to burn after til pretty much dawn the next day most nights, so I am sure your energy will bounce back too :)

With the right motivation/s your will power can be as strong as steel

Best part about reaching my goal has been the feeling of accomplishment, feeling that I achieved something I never thought possible, and also the wonder at how much better and fitter I can become in the future continuing down this road
-
Rather then consider it a wasted week consider it one week closer towards the person you want to be

Well done, your post tells as much as your pictures do, it is amazing how a little hard work can go a long way. Awesome effort so far, and yes it really is quite addicting, almost so much so that its hard to take a break sometimes I find.
-
Can you still swim? Pool or beach, even just doggie paddling around in the shallows is gonna help you get fitter in a non impact way.

I cheat every Saturday or Sunday night, and my weight loss continues unabated. Do the gym monday to friday then just chill over the weekend and enjoy myself. Albeit I do cheat a bit harder now that I have surpassed my original weight loss goal, but am still dropping bit by bit. As for feeling more hungry the day after, yes…

Maybe try not adding the calorie count from the step counter for a week or so, and just eat the calories you need normally and see how you go. I find I accelerate my weight loss simply by eating to the standard goal or just below and not adding in my exercise calories about half of the time.

I did not take a before picture because I wanted that fat guy dead and buried....forever.

I have found Light chocolate mousse to enjoy, I have chocolate milk often with breakfast cereal and muesli bars with choc chips for lunch sometimes, so you dont have to avoid it totally :)
