OMG, I love wine. So. Much. I think I'm going to cut it back out for a while though, my weight seems to be increasing lately. I was still having wine a couple times a week back when I lost almost 40 pounds. It didn't seem to affect me that much since I was just being healthier in general. Like what was already said, just…

That's amazing! They look great on you! I have a pair from when I was 19 years old that almost fits. You just reminded me how much I want to fit into them again. Best. Feeling. Ever.

This, I had a severe vitamin D deficiency. A few weeks after taking mega doses I was a whole new person! I've just started taking it again, waiting for it to kick back in, but I can already tell a difference after just one week.

I want to give insanity another shot now that I'm in a little better shape. Unfortunately I lost my DVD's and I have it backed up on my laptop, that I can't get to turn on... If I can manage to rescue it off there I would love to start again ;)

lemon balm extract. It works in the brain the same way valium and xanax work, but without the nasty side effects. It's also good for a lot of other issues too.

I felt the same way. Went to the doc and they did a bunch of blood work, found nothing. Went back for further tests and they found that my vitamin D levels were VERY low. I now take 50000 IUs of D3 (better than the prescription D2) once a week. It took about 4 weeks to really start working. I am a huge vitamin D advocate.…

I would totally vote for tax increase for almost anything school related, especially nutrition. It's so important, and for a lot of children out there it's the only semi healthy meal they'll get all day. And sadly there are a lot of kids out there for whom it will be the only meal they get that day.

Wow, that's crazy. The kindergarten my daughter went to had awesome lunches. Anything bread was whole grain, including pizza. They had fresh fruit and cooked and raw veggies. They even put a limit on unhealthy condiments like ketchup and ranch dressing. We've just moved to a new state, so I guess I need to pay close…

ACTUALLY, the way sensa works is by altering the way things taste to you by altering the way it smells. The premise behind it is that if it tastes off/funny maybe you won't have the desire to eat it. I THINK the stuff you spinkle on is also suppose to trick your brain into thinking it's more full than it is. Problem here…

I am attempting low carb too, and I'm new to running. I'm trying the whole atkins thing and am still in the induction phase, so all I'm allowed is meat cheese and veggies, and I thought I hated veggies. I have just discovered tonight though that I LOVE eggplant. It's an awesome sub for meat as long as you prep it right. I…

Thanks everyone for the responses. I have tried chalene extreme, I did it for over 2 months and didn't really see many results. I will look into the stronglifts thing. The help is really appreciated.

I have lower back pain too from a herniated disk that gets easily aggrevated. I started doing pilates at home (winsor pilates DVD) and it helps a lot. It's good for stetching out your spine and it helps stengthen ab muscles which give your spine more support. I hope you get feeling better. Back pain sucks.

He's wanting to lose some weight and gain back some muscle. He's not working construstion anymore and the results of sitting at a desk are starting to frustrate him :( He's basically a beginner, since he hasn't worked out in a loooong time.

Cheetos and m&m's, and mac & cheese with pinto beans. yummy.

I haven't tried yet. I really should check it out though. Thanks :)

Feel free to add me :) As for you gaining a few pounds, for some reason if I do cardio I always gain weight at first. I've foiund that i lose weight easily if I add some strength training. That's what I'm working on now. Thankfully there are tons of people on here who are very supportive and eager to answer questions when…

I have no idea what causes this, but I have always had the same problem. Walking hurts my outer ankles, and abour halfway up the oustide of my leg. Jogging doesn't hurt nearly as bad. I've tried different shoes, nothing seems to make it any better. I think it's because I tend to put all my weight on the outside of my foot.…

:) well yes, I know that. I guess I should have said do you burn *significant* calories lol. Everyone says to eat back your exercise calories, I just wondered how many calories I might be burning. I'm going to be safe and not count it as more than 150.

Thank you, that is extremely helpful.

I gained 6 pounds doing insanity for 5 weeks, and didn't lose ANY inches. It's way too hard for someone who isn't already mostly in shape. It's for people who are trying to lose that last bit of weight. That being said I haen't done p90x, but have done power 90 and it helped me lose 20 pounds before I joined MFP. I'm doing…

I've done power 90 before (not p90x) and had some results. I just started chalean exteme, and am sore in places I've never been sore. It's awesome. It's not especially long, and it comes with a basics dvd that teaches you how to execute each move. It's very easy to follow. And while you're doinf it, it doesn't seem boring,…

The only thing I find I can't eat anymore is fast food. I get sick for a couple days EVERY time I eat That's ok with me, I love to cook.

I did Insanity for 4 weeks. My endurance improved bt I didn't lose a single pound, infact I gained 5. I didn't lose inches either. I ended up hurting myself so I took a week off. In that week off I lost 6 pounds (the 5 i gained, plus 1) Now i'm back tozumba and power90. Much better. My advice if you've been exercising for…

Thanks everyone, feeling a bit more up to it today. Thinking more long term instead of RIGHT NOW. I'm the world's most impatient person ;) Feels good to know there are positive, supportive people out there.

Thanks, needed that kick in the butt :)

I worked at a Tyson chicken processing plant for a while, the raw chicken there is not anywhere near the color of pink that mechanically seperated meat is. I don't know what makes the stuff that pink, but there's no way it's natural.
