37 pounds so far.
So, I disappeared from myfitnesspal for a while. I got disgusted with myseld when I hit 236 pounds, so I just quit. Well back in december I got really really sick. I found out I had a bad gallbladder. No stones, it just wasn't functioning and was extremely enlarged and gross. Needless to say I had to have surgery. It kinda…

insanity and strenght training?
Can I do insanity and strength training in the same day or would that be too much? If not what's a good way to schedule the two so I get the best benefits. I did insanity once for a couple months and gained weight instead of losing it, but I think it's worth a shot to give it another shot, I just want to make sure I do…

Where to start with lifting heavy?
Ok, so I know I want to start lifting heavy, I just really don't know where to start. Everything I read lists off all this equiptment that I don't have, and exercises I've never heard of. All I have right now is a set of adjustable dumbbells that do up to 25 pounds each and I can't afford to get anything else right now. Is…

Multivitamins?
Okay, so I still don't eat healthy yet. I'm working on it, but it's slow going. For instance I can't stand milk, the only veggies that don't make me want to hurl are corn a green beans, and I don't even know if I like fish. And on top of that I have a VERY tight budget for food, which makes it even harder. That being said,…

Anyone tried the spartacus workout?
I was reading about a workout called the spartacus workout on the Men's Health website. I was wondering if anyone had tried it, and if it really works. My hubby is thinking about working out w/me and this seems like it would be his kind of thing. Just wondering if it's worth the time, or if it's just a fancy name :D Here's…

do you burn calories strength training?
I started doing Chalean Extreme and I was wondering if you burn calories during the strength training? I don't have the money for a heart rate monitor, so I don't know exactly what I'm burning. But even though it's strength training it's fairly fast paced and i know I'm burning calories, just don't know how many I should…

Weird ankle pain, any ideas?
Ok, so for a couple weeks now I've been getting sharp pain in the INSIDE of my ankle. I haven't twisted it or anything. As long as I keep all the weight on the outside of my foot I'm ok, but as soon as I put any weight at all in the inside of my foot is causes a sharp pain so bad that my ankle gives out. I might add that…

Can I exercise without shoes?
Ok, for some reason, every pair of shoes I try makes me feel like all my weight is being pushed onto the outside of my feet. By the end of a workout the outer part of my foot hurts so much I can barely walk. This doesn't happen as much if I don't wear shoes, but is that safe?

Why am I not losing weight?
Ok, I get that you're not supposed to get obsessed with the scale, and I'm not. However, I started doing Insanity about a week and a half ago, I weighed myself before I started, I was at 220. I weighed myself at the end of the week on my off day, and I was 224! I didn't panic . I was curious so..... I wighed myself this…

Strength training while doing insanity?
Ok, so I'm doing INSANITY and it's mostly cardio. I'm looking for something to do while I still keep doing insanity to help with the strength training aspect. I do NOT want to do p90x lol. I am a total pansy when it comes to weight lifting and such. I need something that won't be too extreme. Any suggestions?

Insanity is definately INSANE
I'm on day 3 of insanity. I have to stop a lot and it's CRAZY hard, but I love it. I already have more energy. Day one gave me a pounding headache for the whole day, but today, I feel awesome and thats unusual for me. Anyone else out there doing Insanity? If so is it working for you?

tilapia: bad or good?
I thought fish was supposed to be good for you. I just read 3 articles saying tilapia is bad because of low omega-3 and high omega-6. Why is it that every time I think i'm making a good food choice someone comes around and tells me it's bad?

feeling stuck
So, I lost 15 pounds before I found this site. so, in the past 3 months that's a total of 20. now I feel like I'm just never going to lose any more. Tilapia recipe for someone who doesn't like fish?
I don't like fish. I think maybe because my mom hates fish and never really made any so I'm just not used to it. I want to like fish because I know how good it is for you. That being said, I bought some tilapia having read that it was one of the less fishy fishes. Now, how do I cook it? LOL. I'm open to anything, as long…

whole fat cheeses?
I read somewhere once that whole fat cheeses are actually better for you thank cheeses that are low fat because of the way your body breaks it down. Is this true or just something someone came up with so they could eat their 6 cheese lasagna without guilt?

So So So picky. Help!
I hate to admit it, but I'm the pickiest person I know. I don't like any veggies other than corn and green beans. I want to, I try to eat them all the time. I just can't stand them. I tend to eat a LOT of pasta. I am transitioning to whole grain though. I like almost any meat, except fish. I do love fruit. My problem is…
