do you burn calories strength training?

I started doing Chalean Extreme and I was wondering if you burn calories during the strength training? I don't have the money for a heart rate monitor, so I don't know exactly what I'm burning. But even though it's strength training it's fairly fast paced and i know I'm burning calories, just don't know how many I should log. Thanks for any input :-)

    Most 45 minute sessions I do, and I train pretty intensely, at a weight of 190, I burn about 300-350 at most if that helps.

    15 minutes of intense weight lifting burns 150 or more calories.

    :) well yes, I know that. I guess I should have said do you burn *significant* calories lol. Everyone says to eat back your exercise calories, I just wondered how many calories I might be burning. I'm going to be safe and not count it as more than 150.
