I lost about 30lb a few years back but about 10lb crept back on so I started logging again about a year ago. In that time, I yo-yo 5 or 6 lbs above and below that re-gain. But ... my clothes have fit the same in all this time, so I guess I'm packing some muscle. Either that or my scales are wack. Logging gets tiresome but…

I don't schedule any sort of overeating but if it happens, most is about 3000-3500.
-
I was regularly resetting my goal through weight loss so hitting maintenance was hardly any change at all.

I'm usually polite. Takes the form of a slight flirt if they're appealing, or a straight no thanks if someone not my type propositions me. I'm happily married so it's all for confidence boosting and nothing more.

I totted up at the end of the day. And pre-logged some things. Calories were over by about 1500, and every one tasty.

As has already been said, watch for recurring trends. Look at your morning weight compared with your evening weight and use the difference as a benchmark for usual fluctuations. If over a period of weeks your weight steadily increases, then adjust your calorie goal.
-
Just make sure you drink plenty of water and keep up the exercise. You feel so much better for it, and both keep the gains in check (from water and from snack cravings).

People used to comment on my weight all the time when I was naturally skinny in my youth. It bugged me, and I found it even more irritating that the comments ceased when I put on too much weight. In fact when I expressed concern about my own weight I was told I was not too heavy. I was too heavy. I was unfit, developed…

I don't believe in guilt. I believe in learning from my mistakes. Some days I overeat, some days are quite light. The week usually evens out. As long as you are eating enough to sustain you and not so much you get unwell, it's all good.

Breakfast-snack-lunch-snack-dinner-snack Sometimes I skip breakfast, and sometimes I just graze all day.

I find maintenance easiest if I don't stress about numbers. The number on the scale, and the calorie goal. That said, I do like to log because I stay a little more accountable to myself. When I didn't log my food and exercise for 6-8 months or so, my weight began to slowly creep up. Even though I quite often go over…

-What's your calories per day? TDEE 1850 although I'm currently on 1750 to try and curb the excesses -Height, weight, age, gender 5'8", 140 lbs, age 42, female -How many times do you exercise per week? anywhere between once or 5 times. I try to keep generally active. When I work out it's cycling, walking, swimming, weights…

Another vote for jeggings. Lycra makes all the difference.

Yep, colder when thinner. Good thing is it motivates me to exercise as I soon warm up then.

I can put on 2 lb in 2 days and lose it again 2 hrs later. Agree overall that gentle adjustment over time finds the right balance. OP, I wouldn't limit calories based on macros. Some of the entries in the database don't even record some elements.

My navel is not at the pudgy part of my belly. Navel sits between true waist (the narrowest part) and the pudgy bit. The pudgy bit sits between navel and hips  So I don't think it'd help to share those measurements. They are individual to me only and bear no relation to how conventional clothing sizes will sit.…

Tell her and offer to work out with her. I see you plan to say something, just marking my place to see how it goes.

Portion control. Same strategy as for losing. I no longer fill up my plate with all the food I plan to eat. I go for seconds if I feel the need, but no more am I ploughing through a greedy amount because I over-estimated how hungry I really was.

I'm not experienced with ED so not best placed to offer advice. Just want to wish you luck. I would say be accountable to yourself but try to avoid getting obsessive. I realise that's probably a lot easier to say than do.

This is pretty much how I approach most weeks. I don't like to feel 'deprived' ever :drinker:

I'm not sure what to say about your diet except it looks pretty good (perhaps get in a little more fruit and veg each day?). I see you don't track sodium so ensuring you're not too high in salt, and upping your water intake a bit seems to be the way to go. Also recalculate your calorie goals every 5 lbs or so.

I'm in maintenance and intend to continue as I am. Actually I have a very small deficit built in at the moment, but that's mostly a bit of mental trickery to keep myself in check. I have no plans to chronically overeat over the holidays. ETA I answered like this because this is the Maintaining Weight area of MFP. If I was…

Is there a problem with maintaining between 146-149? Because it sounds like you've nailed it to me.

I'm another that will log any walking that is outside of my usual routine. A day out in the shops leaves me with sore feet and some fatigue, so I will eat more on a day like that. I usually use the 2mph walk, whether or not I am carrying anything, or might be moving a little faster. And round generously down to the nearest…

While I was breastfeeding after c-section I had a constant supply of dried apricots, almonds, mixed seeds, and a bottle of water on the go. I wasn't watching my weight back then but it did help to have the healthy stuff to hand at all times (night and day!). Don't be hard on yourself, early days (months, years) are so…

Mine is about 1850. I have MFP set to 1750 (it would set less for me so I input my own) and eat back exercise cals. I'm more or less stable this way. Female 42, 5'8" 140lb, exercise 1-3 x weekly

I suppose. Feb 2011 in previous incarnation. Was slow to get around to it as New Year indulgences meant I had a lot of stocks to get through first before cutting the crap.

Lots of lean protein helps curb the hunger pangs.

Net, minimum, yes. How come people come here to lose weight yet repeatedly find it hard to rack up 1200 net? I'm jealous, I'd keep going to 3000 if I could.
