  • Walking outside is more inspiring for me especially if it's sunny. Also motivational music makes all the difference for me. Pulling the belly button in when walking is supposed to be as good as sit ups .. However I can't be bothered today either! Was looking for motivation on here!
  • L-glutamine and Chromium Picolinate have helped me and I think can balance blood sugars?. There are claims 5-HTP can stop cravings take half hour before a meal. Vitamin D drops and vitamin b is often needed and can help with tiredness which is often when I eat!! I got this info from videos online. Just experimenting. I…
  • Also forgot to mention diet related can be the bowels maybe adjusting to new foods or detoxing?
  • I suffer with back pain/sciatica and a lot of stiffness. Frozen peas on the area work well and a brisk walk first thing concentrating on good posture but sometimes I can't be bothered. I've found lots of videos on the internet to help and also have physio. Can't seem to get rid of stiffness though. If you find anything…
  • Fasting is supposed to be beneficial in rebooting your immune system. I've cut down on sugar a lot by having an egg for breakfast then a green juice in the morning and a large green salad at lunch with lots of crunchy veg and just generally eating lots of green vegs seems to reduce my sugar cravings. I couldn't fast…
  • Yes I juice some dandelions and spinach with a bit of lemon.

  • Green tea. Helps one burn 50 calories extra a day. Tastes nasty if you brew it too long though.
  • Not to me it doesn't sorry. They get you hooked and you just have to keep upping the dose. Just come off Citalopram because it can make one gain weight (depressing in itself) and harden frontal lobes of the brain which sounds bad. No thanks to big pharma trying to make money out of me.
  • Thank you there are lots of interesting things online about Picamilon. Might try this one.
  • Hi I am on this diet/the 5/2 diet. Started on alkaline and lost at least 14lbs maybe even 20 in a few months. There is not much protein on this lifestyle as protein causes acid/ash and is challenging for your immune system. Lots of fresh veg - celery, cucumber, green veg, green juicing, watermelons - check Pinterest for…

  • You can get alkaline diet sheets online especially Pinterest.
  • Trying it for past week due to health problems. Is there an Alkaline Diet Group on here I can join? Can't find it. I am sick of chewing raw foods as its cold weather here and they don't warm you up much! Also trying giving up dairy and whole grains as much as possible as they're seem to be acid and difficult to digest.
  • Very confusing. Not sure if I should eat less now. Not sure.
  • I am also getting this. People aren't very sympathetic on here! My other half likes all the usual take outs and he's on holiday with me for three weeks so we are eating out virtually every day. I've stopped filling in my food diary until he goes back then maybe I will try again. Only advice is try filling up as much on…
  • It is very annoying but I don't know why they are like that. I don't think I need to eat that much food myself. I think one can survive without getting actual hunger if one spreads the food out throughout the day and avoids fats. Takes a lot of motivation though :(
  • Thanks. Always wondered why people kept saying when you lost weight fast it was always water.
  • I tried it for 15 mins. It took three days to recover. I think it would be very good. Some people on here like shred also.
  • Low GI things: wholewheat tortillas or wholegrain bread would help one feel full. I like hot choc made with skimmed milk and bananas which can help one sleep too.
  • My knees are ruined due to running or Karate which I did for a year or so five years ago. I find it hard to sit with my legs bent. A bit scared of doing any exercise now. All my joints get clicky :(. Not sure if arthritis. Don't really know what that is.
  • Just in case you don't already know this - I've been told always hold your belly button in when doing any kind of exercise but especially abdominals. Chest out and stand tall at all times but especially when exercising to slim waist/stomach. I've also heard rumours that a high sugar diet helps one store fat around the…
  • Honestly you can probably only make yourself less sensitive by losing weight, working out and getting strong so improving your self-esteem so you don't care what he thinks. I wish I could do this because I am also in this situation. He also won't like it if you point out some of his weaknesses. I bet he doesn't have the…
  • So does mine! I am about 147 and 5 ft 4. I have to admit I am a bit wobbly. Wish I was two or at least one stone lighter so I joined this.
  • Its OK but what if you eat a big bf and lunch and then lose willpower and still eat the big dinner!? I also think a big dinner helps one sleep better at night.
  • That or dodgy scales. I was three pounds heavier than yesterday. Must be the scales but so disheartening.
  • It might just be a stage in life. Perhaps they feel threatened.

  • Ditto! I also live in elasticated leggings. Just would liked to get back into my old jeans. Every day is also high hopes but by the evening have a couple of glasses of wine and some chocolate and crisps. If you find the answer or motivation let me know. Otherwise good luck!
  • Most important for women when exercising is to concentrate on pulling your belly button in when doing a plank or crunch or lift, etc. If you perform the exercises with the correct posture - tummy pulled in, chest out, shoulders down you will improve overall posture and take pounds off. Good luck!
  • My WHOLE family likes baked chicken breast with either chargrilled or cajun spice sprinkled on, baked potato wedges, and my bf makes a lovely salad from sliced celery, cucumber, lettuce and onion and instead of dressing puts a little salt, pepper and vinegar.
