Nicole - boyfriend!!!??? That date a while back worked out well then I see ;)

My process was really fast! I consulted in January and surgery was April 18th. I had to attend 3 nutritionist appointments. I tried to cut back on crap, but honestly didn't do a great job- I didn't gain or lose. I stopped drinking maybe 3 weeks before surgery and I had a 2 week restricted diet from the surgeon before…

Hi! I am 39 and also the same issue. I was sleeved on 4/18 and I am down 45lbs. I have been lucky that it was fairly simple, and not a lot of issues. Feeling good! Welcome and good luck!

I was sleeved 4/18. I have had raw onion (like you Nicole, that is not an option to not have!) and I have had cherry tomatoes, and red pepper (only tried that once).

This week has been my smallest # on the scale (-1.6lbs) - I am down 43 pounds total (15 pre op and 28 in the last 6 weeks since surgery). I am thankful to lose 43 pounds and finally have weeks losing rather than gaining! I am a bit bummed about the small loss this week, but in all actuality I moved less, and experimented…

It was a great weekend! I splurged a little but felt like I kept on path - not quite on track. Took small tastes of a lot of wine - but never a full sip, lol! I think we went to 15 wineries or so, and I stocked up for the whole late summer / fall when dr said I could have wine. I had some really really good cheese curds…

I do "feel" hungry at times but like Nicole said, I'm pretty sure it's acid. I'm on Zantac now which isn't as effective as Prilosec for me, but found out that I am allergic to Prilosec by week 2. Info get the hungry feeling I either have a drink of water or see if I can have protein shake. That usually does the trick.…

I'm almost 4 weeks out and my portion size is 2-3 tbs soft protein and 1 tbs pureed fruit/veg. Eat protein first and then veg if possible. No more than 4oz at a time. Then still 3 protein drinks a day spaced out 2hr 45min after eating. My dr visits were /are / will be 1 Week post, 3 week post, 6 week post then I'm not sure…

We are lucky, our company is subsidized - so our cafeteria and our STARBUCKS (we have one on the 2nd floor) is much lower than street value! Its great. We also have healthy food initiatives, so there is always lots of healthy options (mind you we still have a pizza station and a grill station). I have 2 kids and a husband,…

hope your feeling better soon!

Oh boo! I tend to wait closer to an hour before drinking. If I drink water with too big of a sip or too close together or too cold I get a pressure feeling but it subsides rather quickly. Have you tried altering the temperature of your water? I'm still on purees for another week so I haven't really tried "food" yet, just…

Friendship dairy. It's 1% because I couldn't find fat free.

I tend to work thru lunch too. Today I took my 3 oz of purée with me to lunch with my two co workers who know, then 2 other coworkers joined. They asked where my lunch was, I just said here and they kinda gave me a weird look. But it was 2 guys so they probably didn't think twice. I'm having a hard time with the timing…

My nutritionist said it adds too much air to your stomach, same with chewing gum. And can lead to discomfort. I read online some Drs say it can stretch your pouch. I'm going to ask at my next dr appt if it doesn't cause discomfort can I do it? Good to know its not universal.

It's a beautiful complex- inside and out- we built it from the ground up! This week they are finishing the outdoor raised garden beds for the cafeteria. Talked to Dr. today and he wants me to walk 30 min 2 x a day - 3 mph or less and next week if I can do arm workouts without engaging my core, I can. Very light weight. I…

We have a 1.25 mile walking trail at my office, so I was able to get out there Mon and Today. It's really nice. So I'm doing that for now instead of lunch with the co-workers

Ohh big swallows. ;(

Walking now so short but sweet. Your awesome and so inspirational.

Oh no! Walk walk walk is what I was told. I came home to deep fried cod and buttered noodles. And had to be the cleanup crew! Thanks mother in law and husband, I feel your support!!! Hurumph. Cheers to my protein drink!
