Yep, I find it exactly the same...can run easier and for longer on the treadmill but slower and not so far outside. I think aswell that outside you have the weather (wind) to contend with as well as maybe inclines.

I'm a failed dieter too over the years - don't have the willpower, I actually haven't been dieting - I've just increased my exercise ten fold - from zilch to about 3 -5 times a week and during the last year I have lost 2 stone.I know it's not the ideal way to do it, but I like my food too much xx

Yep, I eat what I want but try to stay within my calorie allowance. I do try and watch a bit what I eat, but if I fancy something fattening, then I have it.....!!! I use my exercise to burn off the weight! If I continue to exercise then to a certain degree I can still eat what I want

I have just done 5k in around 40 minutes - I'm a slow runner, in fact more like a jogger!! I don't care about my time...I'm moving and not sitting on the sofa!!

I actually ran for 50 minutes without stopping!!!

This time last year I could barely run (jog) for anything more than about 2 minutes and that was a struggle. I have stuck with it and gradually been able to run for longer. Tonight I actually ran for 50 minutes without stopping. Yes, I know it's taken me ages to get to this stage, but I've had issues along the way with a…

I have had a back problem for a number of years, on and off. I started my keep fit regime last March and since then have lost almost 2 stone. But unfortunately, in December my back started playing up again and I have been in pain more or less ever since with it. I have kept up with the exercise most of the time, up until…

I gave up smoking two years ago, and I used to smoke around 15 - 20 a day...I am now also 2 stone lighter, btu it has taken me almost a year to lose that weight, but god, do I feel so much better for it! Good luck xxx

I've lost 2 stone running and gym...and haven't been dieting at all

My manager did this last year and lost over 4 stone, which I thought was brilliant....unfortunately the weight is all creeping back on. The moment she started eating normal foods again, and probably the alcohol, it is going back on.

I took up running (or jogging to be more precise) last year. I couldn't even jog for 2 minutes....but now I am up to jogging for 45 minutes without stopping. Stick with it...it does get easier. I'm not aiming for any competitions or anything...just doing it to lose weight and keep fit. I'm not sure I will ever get any…
