  • OP I had the same problem for a while, even when I took my multivitamin with food. One day the nausea was so bad it made me sick to my stomach! I take a multivitamin specifically for vegetarians which has higher levels of Vitamin D, B12 and iron; I personally blame the nausea on the iron! My piece of advice: take your…
  • Lentil Tacos are my favourite! Saute some garlic and onion; add rinsed (green!) lentils, water, and taco seasoning (homemade or packaged) and then simmer away until all the liquid is gone. That gives you your taco filling; add all your favourite veggies to the finished product!
  • whierd, you may not believe that food addiction is real, but research being done in the field is at least proving that you can't ultimately rule out food addiction and that the subject needs to be studied more. And no, I'm not a doctor or someone else who has more authority or say in the matter. But I beg you to check out…
  • Vanilla Eggnog made by Scotsburn (for those of you living in NS, you know how we love our Scotsburn products!) whenever it comes out on the shelves again. I love it in coffee but it also tastes DELICIOUS with some Captain Morgan Spiced Rum.... [Edit: I forgot the topic was just Fall/Winter seasonal treats!]
  • Yeah, this is what I was talking about! I couldn't remember where I had heard it, but I feel less crazy now knowing someone else has heard the same thing! ;)
  • I'm also a picky eater and I feel your pain OP! I've gotten to a point where I am adventurous and will try new foods if they have -gasp!- veggies on it that I would never have touched even just 5 years ago. I do, however, still stick to the same foods and veggies that I like and sometimes it's forcing myself to eat those…
  • When I got set up with TriCyclen Lo (a low-dose pill that has 3 different dose weeks) my doctor and I actually had a really in-depth conversation about what my habits were like and what type of birth control fit best with my life. I loved that doctor; she was amazing! Anyway, here I am almost 6 years later and the same…
  • I lay in bed and read a good book! Or lose myself in Netflix, hahaha.
  • My "OH-MY-GOD-THAT-HAS-HOW-MANY-CALORIES-IN-IT" moment was with bagels. Some days (pre-MFP, of course) I'd eat TWO WHOLE bagels. Seriously. And more often than not, those two bagels both had cream cheese on them. The first package I bought since starting MFP were 250 calories per bagel. Add on my favourite flavour of cream…
  • My go-to breakfast during the week when I work is usually a variation of: - 1 boiled egg (sometimes fried if I'm feeling extra wild in the morning) - 1/2 whole wheat bagel (careful with this one, the calories are sometimes still high), 1 whole wheat english muffin or 1 slice of whole wheat toast - peanut butter on the days…
  • I agree with this 110%!! If you think you can keep the trigger foods in the house, then portion them out so you can visualize how much your eating when you do. I've always struggled with tortilla chips and until logging all my food on MFP I would EASILY eat a half a bag, or more in one sitting. When I broke it down and…
  • I feel your pain! I'm the same way, I'd always pick fruit over veggies any day. To make my life more hilarious, I've been a vegetarian for 6 months now and struggle with vegetables almost daily. I forced myself to try a lot of new veggies and now I'm finding that some of them are sticking long-term (which is good!) When I…
  • My all-time favourite sports bra is the Armour Bra by Under Armour. You're gonna pay a bit for it, but I swear it is THE best bra I've EVER worn (and I'm a 38DD as well)!
