It was a veggie burger with lettuce, onions, and guacamole on it.

This is awesome advice. Thanks! You make such a good point. It would be very rude of me to make comments like that to her, as well.

Thanks, guys! Of course I said no, but I relented when the "But it's my birthday" "But it's a wedding" comments came in. I was made to believe that my cousin would no longer have as much fun at this occasions if she were the only person over-eating. Grrr! I feel like I live in a culture in which people hate on the skinny…

Ideally, I match the extra calories from the weekend with more rigorous exercise. If I know I'm going out to dinner later, then I'll work out during the day. Also, I'll just eat half the entree and save the rest for later!
-
I'm in! I just won't be losing as much weight as the rest of you because then I'd be too thin!
-
I wear petite clothes, btw. I'm currently size 2 pants and I'm aiming for 0! They "fit" now (I can easily zipper and button), but the fit is a little too tight. My goal is for me to be a comfortable 0!
-
Haha! I'll get right on that. Thanks for the advice.
-
Congratulations! You look amazing!

"You're tiny!" "Here, have a cupcake" or "_You_ should finish (XYZ unhealthy fatty/sugary food). You are small!"

5'2" Start: 142 lbs Current: 108 lbs Since joining MFP, I've lost four pounds (I'm relatively new here).

You guys gave me some really good ideas; thank you so much! The community here at MFP has been incredible in helping me stay on track with my healthy eating goals. :-D I'm going to bring healthy snacks that I'll keep in my packet or a small bag, which I can just bring with me to the bathroom. I'll eat those on bathroom…

I love that there is a forum related to this. ^_^ I bought a pair of skinny jeans from American Eagle a few weeks ago (size 2 short) and I'm still deciding if I want to keep them or not. I'm leaning toward keeping solely for easily being able to tuck the jeans into boots in the fall (I wouldn't wear them otherwise). One of…

Having a very productive day in which I accomplished a lot (including eating well and exercising). Interacting with kids and/or adolescents. Having a relaxing day that I know I deserved due to hard work. Mango bubble tea. Trying new foods or old favorites that I absolutely love. Nestling my head into my boyfriend's chest.…

I was a "bad" vegetarian. My diet was processed snack foods like Cheez-its, pizza, bread with butter, grilled cheese, cheese quesadillas, etc. I probably ate 2000 calories/day minimum while having a VERY sedentary lifestyle. Now, I'm not fat anymore. I eat lots of much healthier food and I work out.

I use 4 pound weights and they're KILLING my muscles! I have basically no upper arm strength, so I'm actually considering moving down to water bottles or something. I've done 3 days though, so maybe I should just push myself!
-
Thanks, that's great advice! We do eat dinner together and I make sure it's something healthy.
-
I know you're right; it has to come from within. I also told him that I would pay him $$$ if he gets to a healthy weight, so I think I've probably done just about everything I can. It's still hard to sit idly by!

Thank you so much for posting this! I just finished my third straight day and I'm already struggling. Adding in elliptical, running, and a rest day will be great for me. My muscles definitely need time to rest!
-
I just did three days straight and my muscles are seriously burning (they burn all day and kill when I do the 30DS the next morning). Does JM intend for us to do this every day? I really want to have great results, but I also don't want to injure myself. :ohwell:

I saw pictures from our family vacation to California and that was when I realized, "Wow. When did I get so big?" I still cringe when I see those pictures and I can barely recognize myself.
-
You guys motivate me! I can't wait to have my after picture, too. :-)

I'm still in progress, but I thought I'd pipe in. I lost over 30 pounds (over several years--this was a very gradual loss) by cutting calories and exercising more. There isn't really much of a secret to my success so far! I ran two 5K races this summer (my first ever) and I've also stayed on top of my fitness by using the…

Thanks, guys! Yeah, I was planning on going harder with the weights after the DVD. That being said, I absolutely will gain muscle from the DVD because I have very little upper body strength. I can do two push-ups and can barely life 4-pound weights more than 10 times. 30DS requires a lot of weight exercises that are…

Wow, there are so many different apps! I can't wait to get my phone and to get started using the best apps to keep track of my fitness.

My younger sister always prided herself in having a better body than me. As I started to lose weight, many people started to comment on how alike we look and a few even mistook me for her. Now, I weigh twenty pounds less than she does and she said she feels upset just seeing me sometimes. I think the jealousy some people…

Thanks so much for inspiring me! Wow. It sounds like you have built up a ton of resistance and endurance during your 30 day shred. Good for you! Edit: I just saw that you're 23 (like me) and your daughter looks absolutely adorable! Congratulations on having a family of your own; that's beautiful. :-) You're in better shape…

I can DEFINITELY see the difference. Way to go!

[/URL] I've never posted pictures, so forgive me if this doesn't work! Here are my before pictures. I'm trying to lose body fat and gain muscle, so I hope this workout helps! (I'm sorry these are only before pictures. I probably should have waited to post them, but it motivates me to see my before picture out there in this…

Okay, I just did my first day of level one and I am TOTALLY exerted. It felt like such an incredibly difficult workout. Hopefully I can get to the later levels in the future like you have. Good luck!

I would like to join! I am about to start 30 Day Shred today, so this is perfect timing. :D
