  • I'm 53 years old and 5'1' (on a good day!). When I was 20, I was in my 120's, 30 in my 130's, 40 in my 140's. Now I'm 50 and struggling to stay below 150! (I even got to 160 and that's when I said enough already!). Anybody in this predicament? If so please add me. Thanks! Mary
  • I'm 53 and this plan works for me. I took a break recently because of surgery but now I'm back. I have only 6 pounds to go for my first goal weight then I'll try for another 5. Add me if you like! I live in south Louisiana. :)
  • Sunny!! You are where I am now! WHOO HOO. And it does feel good. C'mon down to Louisiana I'll let you borrow my 10's. :) I'm 155, so we're not far apart and the same height! This is an awesome journey you are on! I'm trying to get to 145. If I do that I'll be happy! Keep it going girl. Thanks for your support as well! BIG…
  • "Strong is the new skinny". I'm 52 years old and just started "boot camp/strength training" 3x a week. Best thing I've ever done for myself + MFP and I think I got the recipe for a healthy life. I also get my protein from plant sources/dairy and there's a lot of it out there!
  • Thanks! I wondered the same thing!
  • Gender: Female 5'1" SW: 158 CW: 157.5 :) GW: 140 Age: 52 Add me;
  • Feel free to add me too. We are all in the same boat.
  • Love the pic! I have just gone vegetarian this week. I am never hungry. I think this just might be the trick.
  • Hey Susan - I'm Mary. Been on this thang now for about a week. I'm down 1/2 a pound. You have to celebrate little victories! I TOTALLY understand your feeling. But this whole website gives me hope. I'll add you as a friend. Got a couple of gals I chat with and we are all in the same boat. Don't give up!
  • I've always heard water with lemon is good. And especially lemon water that is "warm" like tap tempertaure. I try and drink one of those a day. Beware of the nutrasweet. That's not the best artificial sweetner for losing weight. You'd do better with sweet n low. That's what I've used for years.

  • Lets cheer us all on! We are all newbies!! LOL I have a low blood sugar problem so I have to eat every few hours. This is day two - so far so good. I'm a regular exerciser! I'm 53 and want to lose 18 pounds, 20 would be nice. :)
  • I just bought a NutriBullet and it's the BEST thing I own. You can make any type of smoothie/juice you want. I usually try to use a vegetable protein like kale, with flaxseed and some fruit and vanilla unsweetened almond milk. I'm drinking two of those a day and eating right and exercising. Hope to see results soon!
