When you set your activity levels its based on non exercise activity. So if you sit at a desk all day you would choose sedentary or low. Then your exercise calories are added back in, some people don't eat all their exercise calories but if a cyclist and a runner you'd need to be eating back some I'd imagine. With only a…

I wonder why $0.99 or $1.50 in app store seems so much more expensive than a real store??

While it may have felt the glare was directed it at you, what if wasn't. She could have been thinking about something else that was personal to her.

At your current weight are you sure you have any excess fat to lose? Show us a picture of you - perhaps your view of yourself is a little distorted?? Your BMI is just a about 17 which means you are underweight for your height. To gain muscle you will likely need to eat a lot more calories than you are, and will need to a…

Why not call the dentist and confirm if Monday is okay? A few days for me would be Monday or Tuesday onwards, but for the dentist a few days may differ.

Hormone cycles are what they are. We typically gain fluid weight and we lose it during the cycle. If you are adhering to a calorie deficit over that time (and all the other times), you medium to long term weight trends will be going down. Don't get caught up with a temporary weight gain, and don't let that temporary weight…

Who knows Australia just may get a lottery or cash incentive, though I'd be surprised if it did. Not because I think the general public may be against it, I don't think the prime minister would support such incentives.…

9lb in that period of time seems pretty good to me.

1.4 million vaccinations in Australia so far, and 11 reported cases of TTS. Younger people are more at risk than older, though older people can develop TTS too. I am not a statician, I don't know what the odds are, I guess people have to weigh up the risk of clots vs the long term impact of having covid or possibly dying…

Not everyone has a worse reaction on their second shot. In my workplace, a number didn't, some were about the same as the first, for some it was worse. Out of about 20, only one didn't present for work the next day and I went home from work about half way through (the next day). For me, for my first shot it was the sore…

If I remember correctly dietbet take 25% of the game revenue but that can be less to ensure that at winning game players will at least win their original bet back. To make real money on dietbet you need to play a game with a lot of game losers, which seems really mean spirited. I think the aim of dietbet isn't necessarily…

I don't have any friends on MFP, I don't engage in private messaging and I engage on the boards when I feel inclined to and if I feel I have something to say. You can ignore any MFP emails about engaging on the site, you can participate as much or as little (if any) as you want. A lot of people do enjoy the interactions…

There is a massive thread about this, you can post the user names or link to their profile and staff will remove the user. I will see if I can find the link to the thread for you. Edited here is the link https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/comment/45932992#Comment_45932992

I received my second pfizer shot yesterday, I think the nurse though she throwing darts!

Just because a doctor is a doctor doesn't mean they know a lot about nutrition, weight loss and calories. A blanket statement that women shouldn't eat more than 1200 calories is factually incorrect. Keep your doctor if you are happy with what they do for your medical circumstances but do find someone else to advise on…

I have no problems throwing things away, they are being wasted either way: if in the bin or if I eat them mindlessly.

Home body fat scales are not the most accurate of measures, they are very dependent on your hyrdration levels, the time of day, etc. If your measurements are going down and clothes getting too big your efforts are being rewarded.

Definitely a secret ballot. For those who don't want to vote but do turn out to avoid the fine, they would probably do what is called a donkey vote or perhaps turn in a blank or spoiled form. Some people delay registering at the electoral office as long as they can, not on the electoral register means they avoid a fine for…

People are fined for not voting. There are exemptions eg ill on the day, religious reasons.

As mentioned previously I had mine yesterdy too, by the time I went to bed my arm was sore and was quite sore this morning, as the day progressed most of the soreness has worn off. No other side effects so far. Today I visited a friend who is nurse who had her first pfizer shot a couple of weeks ago, she showed me a pic…

I believe the protocol for Pfizer is three weeks between doses (at least in Australia, don't know about anywhere else).

I probably wouldn't think twice about it. But if going by the number of people who bring those kk donuts back on home a plane (there are no kk stores in my state), I'd say a quite few would put up their hands for a freebie regardless of what it was associated with.

I had a first shot today too, it was pfizer. I work in a regional airport and while not frontline, as part of airport management we were included in the 1a phase too. Second shot is three weeks away. Hasn't been three hours yet for me, but so far nothing.

MFP needs a false news/sham/conspiracy/ reporting button. God help your patients.

If you fill in your profile here I would put this under the incidental activity field - my incidental activity level is fairly low as I sit at a desk most of my working day. If I was in job when I was on my feet and on the go all day I would choose the highest level. Standing all day but not necessarily on the move/ on the…
