I know this is an old post, but I'm searching LI info & came across this. I've noticed while looking for lactose free things at the store today, that they are most always high in fat - which of course, I'm trying to watch as well.

Take your measurements. I am just getting into weight lifting after mostly cardio for the last several months. Everything I've read strongly recommends measuring!

You are busy for sure! BUT .... I get up every morning at 4am to work out. I am fortunate that I have a treadmill & elliptical at my office and some dumbells I have acess too. I also work out at home some evenings & weekends. I have a 4 year old who likes to work out right along with me. There are TONS of body weight…

Begin making small changes now. Eat a little less, or substitute a high fat snack for a lower fat snack. Move a little bit more, go for a walk, do a couple jumping jacks. Start slow & add little things each day.

This is what I try & do also. Some days are hard, I just keep telling myself, it will all be worth it. I don't really have a 'goal weight' I just keep taking it day by day & do my best to eat well & get some exercise every day.
