training regularly, but no big results?!

I've been going to the gym 4-5x a week for the past 4 weeks - doing exercises that are set up for me by a personal trainer (i see her once a week, she gives me a couple different programs to do to switch up day to day).

i do a lot of lifting and body weight exercises, lots of combo upper body/lower body stuff.. i have seen a SLIGHT change in my body composition over the past 4 weeks (I have bicep muscles now, yay!!), but as far as losing fat and weight ..i have not seen much of a change.

my diet is pretty average - i stay around 1800-2000 cals a day and eat mostly healthier meals (i always try to go for the healthiest options on a menu). i also don't drink sugary drinks often and i try to stay away from overly-processed foods...

I understand 4 weeks is not a lot of time to make HUGE changes, but I would really like to fast-track the fat loss as I am looking to get down from a size 12 in jeans to a size 8 over the next 3 months. (my wedding is coming up)

Any experience stories or advice for me??

I'd take a more in depth look at what you're eating. A calorie deficit is what causes weight loss.

    Here's some.

Weights and lifting will build up muscle mass. Muscle weighs more than fat. If you're looking for a slim figure, incorperate some cardio into your work out. Cardio builds lean muscle mass, will burn the calories and also help with your weightlifting burn. If you do a mix of cardio and weightlifting, you'll burn more throughout the day. Running is a good way to get your cardio, other options are jump roping and jumping jacks. Get your heart pumping and feel that burn!

Take your measurements. I am just getting into weight lifting after mostly cardio for the last several months. Everything I've read strongly recommends measuring!

Talk to your trainer and tell her:
