I'm up at 4:30am to get to my gym by 6:00am - it's an hour commute for me. Then work and another hour commute. But then I'm a morning person and usually in bed before 10:00pm :) I've gone a few times after work but it just doesn't feel the same...... doing it in the morning energizes me for the whole day.

Wow..... nice when your hard work is so visible..... way to go!

Okay, count me in....... starting Oct 11 - 184 lbs

You may have to weigh all your food for awhile...... I find when I stop weighing - my portions slowly start to creep up... not awful if your maintaining..... a killer when your trying to loose weight and are getting closer to goal when you don't have a lot of wiggle room. I only eat back approx 50% of my exercise calories…

I feel your pain..... your stuck in a vicious circle..... I've got two bad knees that I'm hoping will be fixed by a double knee replacement January 9th. 18 months ago I was 288 lbs and exercising was almost impossible. Walking and even standing was difficult I had to rely on a calorie deficit and light stationary cycling…

Do what you like..... seriously..... which one appeals to you more? That's the one you'll end up sticking to. Personally - I found it easier to stay committed to my calorie goal when I exercised along with it.

What ever you do - DO NOT try something new the day of the race! Test it out beforehand..... trust me on that. :# I always had a all grain bagel & peanut butter. Good luck - don't forget to smile at the finish line!! Even if it hurts - makes a better picture. ;)

lol... just tell him to bugger off - that you've got this. Awesome job by the way!!

Impossible to "build" muscle in that short of time.... the #1 exercise that helped me to lose over 100 lbs was weighing everything I ate and staying within my daily calorie goal. My $15 food scale was more effective than my $800 bike...... Having said that, food may feed my body, but exercise feeds my soul. :)

You say your eating all your exercise calories back? Perhaps they are over exaggerated? I try not to eat more than half of mine if they look high.

Unfortunately I couldn't stand for more than a minute so the sit/stand desks weren't an option. Same with getting up and walking around. I'm not sure what OP's situation is like thou.
-
Have you ever tried one?

These are the numbers I use, but I run under the premise that if anything it is inflated and take that into consideration when looking at my daily calorie goal.
-
That tends to happen alot. I'll close my eyes now and wait for the blast.

DESKCYCLE !!! It's pricey but is the lowest profile under the desk cycle. Built heavy like a standard stationary bike with tension adjustment and display that can fit on your desk. Quiet, no one knew I was using it unless they stood behind me. I bought one when I just started my weight loss journey as I couldn't walk or…

I figured I'd update incase somewhere down the road someone finds this. :) FYI I have severe osteoarthritis and am scheduled for a simultaneous bilateral knee surgery (both at the same time) this January. I got fitted for the Ossur Unloader 1 brace for both knees. They are pricey - just over $800 each. Thankfully our…

Best thing I ever did was buy a food scale!! Talk about eye openers!! It really isn't about "dieting", and all about choices.

When I started I had 135 lbs to lose so I set my weight loss at 2lbs per week. I stayed there for a little over a year and lost 115 lbs. I've been on "maintenance" for the summer but plan to buckle down on those last 20 lbs shortly. I know what you mean about "losing interest". Hours will feel like days, days will feel…

Depending on how much weight you'd like to lose, it's very hard to gain any appreciable amount of muscle while losing weight. You just want to make sure your not losing muscle along with the fat. :) I do a lot of walking/biking..... favorite app is Zombies, Run. I'm just getting into strength training now.....

Wow !!! Thanks sooooo much for explaining that!! And here I was thinking I was a whimp for not using Damper 10. :# Is there somewhere I could get an idea of what I should be setting my Damper to?

This is something I'd like to eventually move to. I've been weighing, logging and tracking for a little over a year - it's helped me learn about portion sizes, macro balance and my body's daily calorie needs. In doing so, I've lost 115 lbs. :) I think I understand my hunger cues better now but am not quite ready to "fly…

"Whisps" parmasean cheese bites...... love them. <3

It's not available in Manitoba yet. :(

My Dr referred me for a double knee replacement in April 2017 - since then I've lost 115 lbs and am scheduled for the surgery this January. Yes there are some things I can't do, but I can still walk, bike, kayak, row, golf, resistance train and the list goes on and on..... Weighing my food, logging everyday and sticking to…

Don't bother responding..... posters like this never return your calls. :p

Quiet day for me - prepping for an endoscopy tomorrow that should rid me of a nice little pile of gall stones 😳 Funny they haven’t bothered me since I changed my diet but good to remove them. So, clear fluids only today - should have no problem meeting my calorie goal. 😊

Good news is it will make a nice table cloth after.

Finally cooled off for a day here on the Cdn prairies... actually wore long sleeves for my bike ride. But hotter temps expected again for the weekend.
