Thanks for your response. I so lift weights at the gym 3 times a week and do resistance training 2 days a week as well with cardio being a 5 days a week thing. I sadly am unable to get testing done. I can not afford to see a DR and do not have insurance. I am trying my best to do what I can for my body till I can get…

I completely agree with you here.

You dont develop PCOS from low carb dieting. Its a gene defect. You were born with it. Low carb dieting is required for PCOS for a reason.

Hello, My name is Jessica I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 19 and I am about to turn 30 now. Two years ago I started another diet and exercise routine using this site. I lost 85 pounds in 8 months. I ate all the things I liked I did not cut out carbs. Most people fail when they go for extremes. Just watch your calories…

LOL I just noticed I got it backwards. I guess I gave baby brain. I am 4 pounds heavier then last week.

Thanks everybody. I try my best to cut out as much of the carbs as possible but I have not cut out enough. Thing that really sucks with PCOS is the fact that you dont crave sugar you crave carbs and bad. I have taken most bread out and switched to high fiber tortillas which are good and luckily I dont like pasta all that…

Well you cant go wrong with a fruit salad. NEVER. lol. I like o bring tortilla rolled sandwiches. The tortilla factory has the best low cal tortillas only 90 calls for a large tortilla. just put whatever you like on them. But I am pretty simple. I like the old traditional picnic foods. :) have fun

To be honest not really sure. lol. I dont stop eating the things I like. Which is what I always did before so maybe thats it. At the gym whats different is I picked very long books to read.

First off I want to say congrats. It is always hard to loose weight. I am at that same spot as you. I start february 1, 2011 at a weight of 285. I have hit so many platues but this one is by far the worst. I am at 216 or 217 but i have been there for a month now. i have tried everything from burn 300 more calories eating…

WOW thats a bit of a strong statement. Maybe you should die down the man hatred there a bit. This isn't a feminist issue.

I am in complete agreement. Men and women don't think the same way. So you might want to give him a little bit of a break. If what he said is truly bothering you then talk calmly to him about it. Dont get angry or accuse him because that makes matters worse. Plus we women want men to tell us what they are thinking all the…

I started my weight loss journey at 280 pounds. Maybe more. I hit my first platue at about 264. I was there for about 3 weeks. I upped my routine and that got me out. However I am at 220 pounds now and I hit a platue almost every other week it seems. I have tried eating more. I just started eating my calories burned back (…

Every time i use my HRM it is on average about 150 cals burned for each segment. So I would create a new exercise call it the BL Cardio Max DVD and then add the 150cals for the 15min segment. Just an idea till you get a HRM. :) Plus I love this video. It is very intense in later segments. Bob likes to kill you even in a…

I am right there with you on that issue. However I do weigh myself twice a week. I weigh myself on my last day of working out then the day after I rest. My scale bugs me as well because after my rested period I jump down 2 to 3 pounds then go back up 2 pounds until the next week. It has been doing this to me since I hit my…

There are a few other things you may have other the pcos but to find out for sure you have to do a bunch of different blood work tests and an ultra sound to find the cysts and depending on your age it is also harder to diagnose. Go to a fertility specialist they know more about pcos then a gyn.

Make sure you are eating something every 2-3 hours you are awake. I plan out my whole day so I know what I am eating. Make sure you are getting enough protein through out the day if you are exercising and weight training. Another thing that has helped me is to keep my calories fluctuating every day. High one day the next…

If you are constantly on your feet at work I would be counting that time as exercise because it is what your body is used to doing each and every day. You want to log the things you are doing on top of that. The extra exercise you do after or before work is what will help with the weight loss. I am always walking at my job…
