I agree with everyone else. Just go ahead and do the exercise program and you will see REAL results in your health and fitness. You are not defined by the number on the scale.

I'm gonna buy new clothes! And hopefully go sky diving!

I could eat an entire large Pizza Hut pizza by myself! I can't believe it! And the sad part is that if I went back to eating the way I use to, I think I could work my way back up to that within a few weeks. I ate fast food for breakfast, lunch and dinner and went to Dairy Queen every single night for a large double fudge…

Don't remember the exact name. Generally, I delete people who don't log in for weeks at a time or those people who start a diet every Monday morning and fall off the wagon by Tuesday evening.

If you have a lot of weight to lose (100 pounds of more), I think it's pretty realistic to set the goal of losing 55 pounds by June 22. I agree with the post above also. When you eat natural/whole foods without eating much processed junk, your body will have a great response.

For me, I just step on it once and let it go. My weight is important to me because I still have another 92 pounds to lose. However, I'm not going to stress over 1-2 pounds. If it makes you comfortable, step on it until it shows the same number 3 times in a row. However, you could take something that you already know the…

I hope I can get to that point one day...

Sodium will do that to you. Don't sweat it.

I agree with both posts above mine. Make sure you stay hydrated, and not by drinking diet soda. Drink plenty of water to ensure your brain is not getting mixed signals about whether it is hungry or just thirsty. Also, once you kick the "habit", you will feel so much better. Just stick with it!

I'm so amazed! Such an inspirational story!

Just started January 1 of this year. I started at 254 and have lost 12 pounds. I stil have 93 pounds to lose before I hit my goal weight. Feel free to add me.

I don't think it would matter as long as all of your weight in on the scale. Don't hold onto anything for support because then some of your weight will be distributed to whatever you are holding on to. Other than that, you should be good!

"The Four Loves" by C.S, Lewis. I absolutely LOVE C. S. Lewis books!

I lost 9.6 pounds in the first 9 days. I notice my stomach is smaller and I have also started eating more fruits and veggies.
-
I would love to join your group! Every little bit of extra support helps!

My coworker died suddenly from a heart attack. He was in his mid 40's..way too young to die. I am turning 30 next month and I know I need to do something about my weight sooner rather than later.

I quit cold turkey. I tried cutting back but it didn't work. I had to quit all together.
-
I log on daily and I would also love the extra support from people who aren't going to flake out after a few weeks or months. I'll send you a friend request!

I log everything. I even log my daily multi-vitamin just so my nutrients are as accurate as possible. But that's just me. However, I would strongly suggest you log butter and condiments. As with exercise, I wear a HRM during intentional exercise and I always log it. I do not count cleaning, shopping, playing with my kids…

Wonderful! Your post is exactly what I want mine to say this time next year. I am starting today and I want to accomplish a lot of the things that you have been able to accomplish this past year. Thanks so much for sharing your story. Seeing that someone else accomplished this really gives me high hopes that I can do it…

I'm going to research this as well. I'm curious.

This post has made my day!

Congrats on the 34 pounds lost! That's better than nothing. I know it gets frustrating but you are on the right track!

I literally just finished reading one of his books the day before he passed away. He was a great man with a great heart and soul. He will be missed. RIP.

My mom telling me that she wanted us to both have gastric bypass surgery at the same time. If I'm big enough to qualify for gastric bypass surgery, then I need to do something about it.
