Hey, Spam, did my magic wand work for sleep? (have to ask, even though I think probably not)
-
How many hours are you ahead of me, 5? I will try the magic wand for sleep at about 4:30 or 5 and we will see. :) if you happen to have lavender tea, boiling that and letting the smell full the house might relax them. :)

Update: My friend from Maryland was passing through town today, so we met up for coffee before I headed to see Dad. I never made it there because my SUV started over heating. It was low on coolant, but I am not sure why. I refilled it and will go see Dad tomorrow.

Good luck!

Where is that, Ceci? Looks fabulous!

Have fun, Anne-Marie. (waves magic wand for quiet kids)

Aw, thanks!

Friday fun: what's everyone doing for the weekend (besides Quik, who's chasing bad guys)? I am going to see my dad this evening, then going to do some Christmas shopping tomorrow after yoga and visiting a local brewery for their food truck round up. I'm the designated driver, but my favorite truck makes a killer Cuban that…

I think if I don't do anything right away, she might hang herself complaining about what isn't being done for her. She's just admitting that she doesn't know how to do her own job.

Poll question: if a co-worker says in a meeting with your whole team that "gloves are off now" in regards to issues with another coworker, is it okay for me to take the gloves off about my issues with her? Edit: added the word off. I am so mad at J that I didn't notice it was missing until Quik replied.

Confession: I hate my doctor for her awful timing. Two days before Thanksgiving in 2011, I got my celiac diagnosis. No dessert, no super yummy Grandma's rolls. Monday, I had a liver ultrasound and the most likely culprit for my elevated enzymes is Primary Biliary Cholangitis. I have to have more testing the middle of…

Yes, cheese and butter.

Depends on how sick I am. If I don't feel like getting up, I eat not much at all. If it's a cold, I eat more salty stuff anything </= maintenance is fine.

I am 49. My local bother is 58. Our dad is 85 and in hospital. J is behaving like I am still 5 and can't help make decisions but I am also supposed to listen when he doesn't like the results of his decisions. It's not cool, but it won't last forever. Walk the stress off instead of eating it. It's better for you. Talk it…

My favorite store has powdered JIF, cheaper than PB2.

Ask your doctor when you can start physical therapy, but my not a doctor answer is don't exercise until it heals because malunion of fracture will set you back longer than waiting to start PT.

I like espresso straight up, but often have a 16 oz sugar free skim caramel macchiato at my local coffee shop which is about 120 calories. (They even measured everything out for me to figure that out.) If I want to really splurge I drink a breve, which is mostly heavy cream. Just don't drink the espresso (or anything else…

So, flavored carbonated water like Bubly or La Croix is okay depending on the flavor. Perrier and similar sparkling water is for gin and tonic, which will cure a migraine in 20 minutes, but will get me a strange look from most bartenders. Apparently women don't drink gin and tonic often. For daily drinking I prefer plain…

Only when Quik is bored. ;-)

Nice!!!

New nails. Football season is over and I needed a relaxing break.

Depends on the soup. A hearty chili or potato soup can fill me up, but veggie soup doesn't get the job done.

Confession: I eat like crap when my dad is in the hospital. Also, I feel guilty being at work even though there is patient care technician in the room with him to keep him from getting up. Logically, it makes more sense for me not to be there until he's not ICU anymore and there's no one with him.

Nice job, Quik!!!

I will have to watch.

I like turkey so if I catch it on sale, I will buy it ground. I mix ground turkey and 85/15 ground beef if I am making a big batch of chili because it's less greasy.

You got this. I hope all of my kids are picked up in time for me to see it.

It's one thing (I think) to leave her when her dad could come any time, but if anyone knows Denni is out of town, I don't leave my kids alone either. ETA : my neighborhood is not crime central or anything. I am just paranoid because my dad was a cop, I think.

A full time job and no accountability partner.... If I am tired, it's easy to talk myself out of going.
