August Goals
Awesome August is upon us!!! List your goals here for green days, streak days and exercise goals if you have those. (It is perfectly fine if you only list a green days goal. I like the encouragement I get for a green days streak goal and to reach my exercise goals.) @R_Queenie, I hope you don't mind my starting the August…

10 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!!

I have two days of medicine left and I am back down to 161.5 today. 1/2 pound from my Christmas goal. I know I will make it because I wrecked my van yesterday so I'll be doing a…

Thanksgiving workouts planned?
I will be going to an 8:30 am zumba Shake Before You Bake class with a friend and walking the dog. I've seen mentions of "Turkey Trots" here too. Any other good workouts planned tomorrow to combat the food haze?

Thanksgiving: Holiday Hurdle #2
So, how did everyone do yesterday? Thanks to my Zumba class yesterday morning, I made it with 6 calories to spare. That's two of my six hurdles clear without going over my net goal. (The next hurdle is my daughter's birthday, followed by Son 2, and Son 1 all the week of the huge hurdle - Christmas.) I ate everything I…

Week 4 - how's it going?
My starting weight for the 10 weeks was 171 and my weight this morning was 167. I am right on track for a pound a week. I am hoping to be 161 for Christmas and 160 for my birthday on Jan 2. My clothes are getting too big and my joints are feeling better (especially the knees). How is everyone else doing?

Holiday Hurdle #1 - Halloween
So tomorrow is my first of six free days I've set aside between now and year end. We are having a snack day and costume contest at work and I will consider it a success if I eat no more than 1970 net calories (that's 500 over my usual goal). I also have a plan to stay at least close to the tracks: 1) I have added the…

Weekend Fitness
Anyone got any good plans for weekend fitness? If my hubby thinks he can swing it, I'd like to go for a hike this weekend, but he is on call so that may be a no go. If that doesn't work out, I'm going to get him to drop the dog and me off at one end of the town walking/biking trail and pick us up at the other. That's a…

Monday again: how is everyone doing?
I weigh in on Sundays and Wednesdays, but I was down to 170 yesterday so I am on track for 10lbs in 10 weeks. My first "holiday hurdle" is coming up Thursday. We are having a costume contest and snack day. I am declariing it a free day and will allow myself 500 calories over my MFP goal. However, I will also be walking at…

week one, day two.
Everyone else in my house has been sick with either a respiratory virus or a stomach virus for the last week. This afternoon I started feeling the effects of both. Made it through work but I am not up to exercising. Not a great start for a weight loss challenge. I really do miss my daily walks darn it all....on the plus…

Day One: how did everyone do?
I will admit to blowing it at lunch today. I ate the lunch I took to work at 11am (my regular time to eat) and then my hubby dropped by with BBQ from our friend's new restaurant at 12. I meant to put it in the fridge for tomorrow, but I took one bite and ended up eating it all. It's been so long since I ate that much that…

NSV: I climbed a tree today
And I climbed it in a pair of jeans that haven't fit properly for at least a year. I could squeeze into them six months ago, but I couldn't go up stairs in them, for fear of hearing a rip in an embarrassing spot. The jeans are a size thirteen. I don't remember how long it's been since I climbed a tree, but I'm pretty sure…

What did I do "wrong"?
When I joined MFP five weeks ago, I weighed 192lbs. I let it choose my calorie goals for my height and sedentary activity level and said I would do 30 minutes of exercise 6 days/week (I have a dog. She keeps me honest about doing at least that much walking/running.) I set my goal to lose 1 pound/week since I have yo-yo…
-
NSV : I was on time!
If you check my exercise today, you will jogging up stairs, two minutes. Apparently,I burned 42 calories running up 6 flights because the employees elevator is out if order today and I would have been late clocking in if I had gone to the public elevators. I made it up the six flights in two minutes and without stopping…

Do you exercise.when you are sick?
I felt a cold coming on yesterday and didn't exercise at all. I felt guilty about that this morning and so I took a 20 minute walk with the dog . We went just over a mile and now I feel worse than when I woke up. I was likely to feel worse today any way, but it has made me curious about what others do. Related question: do…
