  • Good Morning. My Name is Lee. I was T2 diagnosed in 2012. The dr (at that time) said "just lose 100lbs and it will reverse itself. I was 300lbs, a 2 pack a day smoker, and a truck driver. So I did. (yes I really lost 100 lbs. Changed careers, and quit smoking and guess what? He lied. So then I was immediately put on…
  • Since the update there is no place to update my status. (No +) PC is fine, but Iphone NOPE. If I have to upgrade to premium to do this? I'm out.
  • @Wynterbourne If type 2 can't "turn into" type 1, and the C-Peptide and blood work comes back and says the pancreas is not producing anymore What would you call that? I mean not to be argumentative, but it seems we are picking nits. I have to follow the same treatment as a type 1 and didn't used to have to. Just asking.…
  • Committing to not eat out of boredom. Log my food AS WELL AS THE TIME.... Important to me because I lose track of time and ending up blowing it to hell if I don't!!!
  • Reading all these different studies (Thanks to @JBanx256 for some of them) and doing my own google search and reading has led me to believe "They really don't have an answer" Some of the examples of this: One study read: Conclusion Dietary patterns characterized by higher dairy intake, especially low-fat dairy intake, may…
  • wait.... HOLD THE PHONES..... Dairy and Diabetes/Insulin Resistance.... There's a correlation there I need to study up on?? Geeze @callsitlikeiseeit any other wonderful cheer you want to spread my way today?? (You know I'm using my sarcasm font right?) Our house for the record? (2 of us) go thru a gallon of milk in 3 days.…
  • Everyone has pretty much said it... But I'll say it again. 1) Set realistic Goals. Quit worrying about the end game on your ticker. Set a goal for 2 weeks from now. and make it achievable. 2) Make changes that you can live with. Don't give up cake and ice cream. It will build resentment and failure. Instead, Cake and ice…
  • "What keeps me motivated?" Great question.... My answer is simple. (Just like my program) I keep it simple. Like some have said up top? When I make changes, I make small ones that I can say "I can live without this" By doing this, I can make sustainable ones, that keep me moving. I have to watch sugar counts being a…
  • The amount (and type) of friend requests in the last 3 days. No thank you, I don't need a date....From Russia.... or Saudi..... and sending me an unclothed profile pic doesn't change that..... (Yes I got one of those) I guess the program is on cruise.. LoL
  • Agreed! ^^^ I found when I was hard core in the gym 4/5 days a week that I was gaining muscle weight at the gym. Or rather I SHOULD say my weighloss slowed because I wasn't solely focused on fat burning, and the scales leveled. But like she said above. Cardiovascular health happens in the gym, or in walks/runs/ etc.
  • Here's an "I second that", from someone who lost 100 and gained 40 back. Read this first item again from "Calls it" It truly is the key.... "The key in losing weight, and take this from someone who has lost over 189 pounds, is to make small, SUSTAINABLE changes. this is a long term effort. not a sprint. you will not lose…
  • I'll add ya. I lost 100 and gained 40 back. I understand the "all in" because thats where I was. Now I'm like the turtle wins all races. It's not the Biggest Loser. Its a daily lifestyle change.. Let's do it!
  • I'll be honest.... I think you are overthinking this. Most men wouldn't notice a 5 lb difference. I didn't notice a difference in myself until about 30. Congrats!! *Stands and Applauds your success
  • I've always been told "It's only a failure if you DON'T start again." I always take what I've learned to move forward! You are gonna do fine just because you DID start again!!
  • Thanks for this. I'm type 2 diabetic and Coffee is just one vice I want to keep. Cheers
  • Goal 06082021You wrote: "they aren't a thing here". Sorry.. Didn't realize there was any rules here. Didn't mean to offend Leaving "your" board now! Cheers
  • Mom22 Please show me what I posted that wasn't factual so I can cite my sources?? On second thought never mind. It's not worth my time. I'm not gonna post anymore... Cheers!! You win!
  • JbanX: You diabetic?? Just curious. Everyones situation is different. Diabetics biggest enemy is Bread and Potatoes.. (If you're trying to manage without insulin shots. Keep this in mind please before you poopoo someone. You see whats in front of the curtain. Not backstage.
  • Wow..... You should remember the title of this board Margaret. Motivation and support. I've been around since 2011. You? June. Now quit pissing on my parade and do you!
  • Man...... I love how each of you figured out how to take a positive intention and comment negatively.. Maybe that should be my next post. People remember, somewhere someone is looking for SOMETHING to help. Something to work on, and Something to believe in.. None of us are experts even tho the comments above suggest…
  • I type what works for me.. In order to try HELP OTHERS. Maybe you should consider this before you pop my balloon. I wish you a good day!
  • I always followed the simple rules and try not to overthink! : Protein: Closed fist size. Veggies: All I want so long at they are fresh/freshly cooked and Not canned/processed Bread/Potatoes: Never a good idea but if a "have to"? Tablespoon and one slice. Oh BTW.. If you didn't know? Most "whole wheat" bread? It uses…
  • Truthfully, every "scientific" answer using math since 2011 has never worked. It ended up being (for me) a copout to only do "what's required" and nothing more. This is a lifestyle change. It's not a game, or a "biggest loser contest". Use Simple goals: Less in than out, Exercise. (The kind that makes you soaked when…

  • First off, and take this with a grain of salt. These are my words. "Huge" is relative. Huge for me was 100 lbs. Huge for someone is 300, Huge for someone else is 40. Don't get stuck on a number.... Second, don't focus on the end game. As the 12 steppers would say it? Focus on TODAY. One step, one decision, and one little…
  • The killer in Coffee sweeteners isn't as much the Calories.... It's the Sugar.... Take a Look! It's kinda like Milk. Everyone has their own preference. Whole, 2%, 1%, Skim? But look at the labels.. The Sugar is the same..... So I enjoy the Whole milk, and Ditched my Coffeemate for WM in my coffee. #Cheers
  • The key word here is AGAIN!! There is no shame in your game. The point is, you have always had the tools, and knew how to use them. They didn't go anywhere, So when you had had enough? you picked them up, and decided enough was enough. It's where I am at. In 2011 I started at 300 lbs to lose 100. I finally after MANY trials…
  • Welcome Kevin!! And I'm gonna post here more than I have lately. AHTH!! // Lee
  • Here ya go. #MyTake Friend me afterward if you want. Haters..... well No time for them! I like the fact that ALL the comments in this called it well thought and balanced. //Lee http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/commander38/view/and-the-biggest-loser-is-626361
