There are plenty of types of cardio you can do outside the gym. You can go running in the fresh air instead of on a treadmill or go for a nice bike ride along the beach instead of being cooped up inside on the stationary bike. You can also do lots of HIIT routines which don't need the gym. Obviously it's not good to run…

Yeah for now I'm trying to do upper body work haha. Not sure whether it's worth joining the gym for it tho! I was going to join the gym before my knees got worse lol but yeah. And it sucks bc I have almost no upper body strength at all LOL but then I guess that's all the more reason to work at it! (:

Hey Allison! Nice to meet you (: Atm I'm just doing really basic stuff at home lol. I do physio exercises for knee strengthening/stabilisation, and then just throw in some bridges, sit ups, dumbell exercises. Nothing special really haha. Feels like I do practically nothing compared to running 10km a day before more…

Cottage cheese is definitely your friend in terms of dairy. Also, light yoghurt. natural unflavoured greek yoghurt is best to avoid added sugars and other preservatives. Canned tuna is great for meats; it's portable and tastes great (provided you don't buy the one preserved in springwater lol). Canned beans/legumes like…

Hey (: I used to be a runner until I injured myself lol but eager to get back into it when I'm fully healed. You can add me if you'd like (: It's great that you're trying to get back on track!

For a number of years I was easily running 4km every single day with no pain at all. However issues arose when I suddenly increased the milage ridiculously and I stupidly didn't think of the consequences this could've had on my body. Surely enough within 1 month of maintaining my daily routine but doing double the…

I think it's really great that you're setting smaller goals for yourself and have an ultimate goal in the end of it all! It's really the best way to approach weight loss. Otherwise if you focus on one goal you become obsessed with it and want to get there quickly which could be detrimental to your body! It's important to…

Breakfast - fruit with yoghurt or if i have scrambled eggs i usually fry w onion and tomato or carrot or something. Lunch - accompanied with salad dressed w balsamic, or steamed veggies. Dinner - large serving of mixed steamed vegs (like 1-3 cups depending) with lemon juice. Sometimes a side of beans/chickpeas etc. Or a…

Thanks for your contribution! (: Yeah I have muscle imbalance too in terms of their strength/tightness and timing of contractions :s It's good to know that your knees tracked better after working on strengthening them; I would really not like to continue wearing this tape for the rest of my life =p I have a tendinopathy in…

Hey Tristan (: I'm 19, from Australia doing BMedSci and I love running too! Also suffering from an injury though lol.. Used to do 10km a day before I developed a tendinopathy. Eager to get back to it once I heal though ;D Feel free to add (:

Have you tried incorporating these sorts of things that you crave into your diet? Or have you made it a no no sort of food completely? Maybe try taking controlled portion sizes of these foods you craved throughout the week to prevent you from bingeing? Don't be embarassed, you're not alone. Trying to train your body into…

I used to love cooking but ever since I started uni and after adopting a healthier diet (I used to love baking but now I really just can't afford to put that stuff into my body lol ): ) I really can't be bothered making actual proper meals ie. using pots and saucers and a million step recipes lol. So I just keep it…

As always, too much of a good thing can become a bad thing. I think it's important to acknowledge the sugar content as if it were any other food. Just be sensible with how much you have (:
