Bumping this.

We met at a reenactment called "Timeline" in Philadelphia back in 2009; it was one big event that had multiple time periods taking part (F & I War, Rev War, WWII, Civil War, etc). I was/am a Revolutionary War reenactor and my S.O. was "War of 1812 Guy" (-- his words, not mine lol). We've now been married a little over a…

Nonfat Greek yogurt with a scoop of vanilla whey protein and an apple - that's pretty much what I have for breakfast every day lol.

bumping for later!! Thanks so much!

I'm right there with you! Back in April I had been down to 147lbs for my wedding (I'm 5'10"), and I felt GREAT. I was down 1-2 pant sizes, and I was finally confident about how I looked. I knew that I gained since then (obviously, since I could tell my clothes were fitting differently), but I didn't realize how much. I…

I'm not exactly 5'2", but I'm getting married 4 weeks from today!
-
YAY! I remember how good it felt to lose those first 10 lbs. You're doing a great job, and such good things for your body! Keep it up!
-
It's all going towards paying for stuff for my wedding in April. lol

I don't really like Boca Burgers that much, and I do have to say that there have been times when my stomach doesn't feel the best after eating one. I really like the Morningstar Farms burgers - especially the Grillers Prime. Good luck!

I'm in South Jersey, so I'll be getting ready for the storm after I get home from work today (I think the latest is that it should hit around here tomorrow night). Need to stock up on batteries and candles! I'm just not looking forward to my basement flooding :/

Great job and welcome!! Logging food really does make all the difference (it's helped me TONS)! :)
-
Hi Anna! Great job on joining MFP!! I joined back in February and I love it; I really had no idea how much I was eating (my portion sizes were waaaay off!) until I started logging everything I ate on here. Add me if you're looking for buddies!

Anything Jillian Michaels! I'm doing her Ripped in 30 dvd now and wow - it's tough.
-
It's definitely because you're taller. 10-15 lb weight loss would look like a lot more on someone who is a foot shorter than you. I'm on the tall side at 5'10" (for a woman anyways), and I have a cousin who is 5'1". She's only lost just over half of what I have, but it seems like you can really tell on her. On the flip…

By a wall at a closed amusement park in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey (it was the end of November) with me standing next to my fiance.

Congrats!!! You definitely deserve it after all of your hard work! Have fun on your camping trip this weekend :)

I would definitely start taking your measurements, since muscle is much more dense than fat, you could be gaining muscle and the scale could be going up, but all the while you would still be shrinking. I also try to watch my sodium/water retention - if I have a lot of sodium it's caused me to "gain" up to 3 lbs in a matter…

I've done 2 rounds of 30DS, NMTZ, BFBM, Yoga Meltdown, Shred It with Weights, and 6 Week 6 Pack- I love them all!! I just completed a 3 month rotation of TurboFire, but next week I start Ripped in 30. I'm so excited!! I've heard nothing but good things about it (with the exception of complaining that it's difficult, but I…

It's just hard for me to understand why someone would willingly do that to themself...even with money involved.
-
Thanks!! Will definitely check it out
-
I also try to follow as it is on the calendar - I might switch days with each other, but as long as I do the specified workouts for that particular week...but that's just me. It's definitely a challenge, but a ton of fun! I personally don't do any other workouts with TurboFire, but I do make sure I stick within my calorie…

I've hit a couple of plateaus since I joined, and it seems like a combination of zig-zagging calories, changing up my workouts, and drinking PLENTY of water has helped (all things you mentioned). I really can't stress the drinking 8-10 glasses of water enough though - I think it has helped me so much. Good luck!

Try drinking some coffee - it's a natural diuretic.

I always thought of calisthenics as body weight training (not using extra weights like dumbbells). It sounds like the bums and tums class would fall under that category - MFP exercise log has light calisthenics and vigorous calisthenics, so I would log it based on how hard you felt you worked. Hope this helps!

Welcome to MFP!! I joined back in February and still LOVE IT!!
-
Agreed! Congrats on hitting the 10-lb mark!!!

Today I LOVE: The feeling I have after I do a long, hard workout. Not so long ago I really struggled to get through it - I'm still challenged, but I can really go hard and come out feeling so energized! I love having energy now!!
-
I've been here since February! I LOVE it!!! I definitely couldn't have gotten to where I am now without it.

When I find myself in your situation, I usually don't deny myself anything, but I try to stay within reasonable limits. Everything in moderation. If we go out to eat and I get a plate full of pasta, I'll eat half and take the rest in a doggie bag. Or, if everyone is drinking, I might let myself have one of my favorite…

Isn't it great?! My mom told me about it months before I joined, and I didn't join at the time because I figured it wouldn't be something I could really stick to - boy was I wrong! It has helped me so much!
