what is calisthenics training? Would you clas bums and tums class as this?

I always thought of calisthenics as body weight training (not using extra weights like dumbbells). It sounds like the bums and tums class would fall under that category - MFP exercise log has light calisthenics and vigorous calisthenics, so I would log it based on how hard you felt you worked. calisthenics are what the military does in the mornings. It's typically cardio style workouts without weights or machines. Crunches, pushups, jumping jacks, planks, pullups.0
