  • I actually have the Babycentre app! I never realised it has forums on it. I've literally just been using it to check my baby's growth. Thank you!
  • Yes definitely agree they don't mix very well! I always have to do mine in a blender, which is a shame for the cookies & cream flavour as it's nice having that little crunch once in a while, but on the plus side having the blender thickens it better which I find helps keep me fuller for longer :)
  • It doesn't give prices on the website without contacting a distributor..... This IS her research on price. Her diary is empty because she's not logging because she wants to do Herbalife - her original point! clearly that's only obvious to me. Her diary is at 1200 cals because that is the default. She's not spending her…
  • Ok I do agree with you to a certain extent, but why just assume that she doesn't know what she's talking about? I'm not sure if you'd agree but there's nothing more annoying than spending time researching something, and then have people bring up all the common misconceptions surrounding what you've just invested lots of…
  • No I'm just here on this site to support people... Isn't that what it's for?! Go reply to threads asking about Mustangs if that's your area of expertise, or do some actual research on Herbalife before knocking someone down. Ignorance is not bliss..... It just makes you look like you have no idea what you're talking about.
  • At £18 for 15 days worth of breakfasts & lunches I'm pretty sure she is saving money?
  • Advice which she has not asked for. It's clear from her saying "I know Herbalife is a hot debated topic etc" that she can already preempt people knocking her down. It's sad state of affairs when you have the write things like that in your original post to begin with. The poor girl has probably heard it a million times…
  • There is no right or wrong way to diet... Different methods work for different people. I'm sure she's not an idiot and has done her research on it, so try being supportive instead of acting like it's your way or the high way! She was clearly asking about cost of the product, I don't see her asking for your opinion on her…
  • I did Herbalife and found that buying them on eBay was a lot cheaper than what my distributor was charging. They were genuine sealed products as well. My distributor wanted £26 for a tub which gives you 20 shakes, but I got them on eBay for £18 with free P&P. It was a while ago though so not sure how much has changed.…
  • I can't be the only one who thinks this post was written by a *kitten* of a man can I?? You said that looking presentable is important to your wife....then you criticise her for tying her hair back and putting on baggy clothes?? Is she not allowed to dress comfortably?? Did it ever cross your mind that maybe she would like…
  • She means using a variety of gym equipment. I'm after the same thing actually!!
  • Sorry but bringing up the "mechanics" of eating, I find very patronising. If you want to get techincal then perhaps mention the part about what controls your arm movements to life up your fork in the first place. That intricate organ The Brain, which also controls repulsion to activate your gag reflex. I may not be…
  • Have you not long finished your period? (Sorry) - You can retain a lot of water just before / during your period and then when it ends the water retention just drops off
  • Thank you that means a lot, especially as I have had a few people accuse me of just "attention seeking" with this topic. I got so low about it last night that I even tried deleting this post, but couldn't figure it out. I've had some hurtful comments sent to me by people saying "How can I say I want to change when my food…
  • I think an ED is one of those things where people often suffer in silence. Particularly with bulimia because the practical is so secretive. Most people with bulimia often have a near normal weight making it incredibly hard to detect by their loved ones. There's also a sense of huge embarrassment and shame attached, making…
  • Yeah I know what you mean. Restricting gives me a feeling of high, then when I binge & purge I feel like absolute c**p! Nothing makes me feel lower, but stopping seems to be just about impossible. I've cut down on laxatives lately and even that is causing panic with the rest of my eating. Every single thing seems to be…
  • Thank you :) It's a lot harder when there's almost no one in your friend list - at least who's online regularly anyway.
  • I wouldn't waste time worrying about an orange. It's good for you! I would estimate about 45 cals for a large orange
  • You look fantastic! I love your face shape now! Well done :) Ps, your bf kinda looks like TinTin last year lol x
  • Sorry I didn't really word that post particularly well. I think what I was hoping for were for little tips / little changes I could make. For example, cooking with more filling foods (otherwise i'll be out buying a lasagne ready meal for 600 cals and still be hungry). What are filling foods? What could I snack on between…
  • That's such a fantastic idea!! I'm definitely going to give that one a try! Thank you!
  • You girlies / guys are truely motivating. I've been on this site for a long time and haven't had the courage to finally post and ask for help. I'm probably going to be on this site 24/7 for a long time to start with.
  • I am most definitely not eating from hunger. I seem to have gotten in the habit of just eating for the sake of something to do! I definitely need to work on portion control as well. My bf eats whatever he likes (bugger) and man he eats A LOT. So I do the same when I'm with him - and I really don't need as much as him. He's…
  • Thanks everyone. I feel like i've got some sort of addiction with food recently and it makes me feel so low and degraded for admitting it. Most of my waking hours are spent thinking about my next meal or snack. How do I break this?
  • Don't eat in private i.e. in your bedroom. Secretive eating subconsciously gives you permission to eat more. Eat slowly, preferably with a sip of water between each mouthful. Give yourself a cut off time. For example, no eating after 6:30pm (later if you go to bed late) Simple swaps, swap semi skimmed milk for skimmed…
  • I'm just gona say what probably a lot of people are thinking (cause I do that)...... Jealousy. Most people say they wouldn't want to be "skinny" - they are happy having curves etc... But the truth is, if a magic genie came along and offered to make you look like Kate Moss (skinny in my opinion) then MOST (not all…
  • You can really see a huge difference! I didn't realise 10lbs would look so different as you don't notice it as much when the weight goes on - this has really inspired me to take my own pictures to look for changes. Keep the excellent work up - you're doing fantastic! :P
  • Where's the rest of it? I wana know about her eating disorder
  • YES! And if you're a prude don't read on...... At my smallest I had lost over 100lbs and when I bent over (imagine to touch your toes) I could see through a huge gap between my thighs which was never there when I was at my fattest. Before I lost weight my thighs used to touch all the way down to my knees! I was so shocked…
