First off, your not not disgusting, you feel disgusting. There is a huge difference. Second make changes for you that you can. Don't expect others to change, but set an expectation of what behaviors you will and won't tolerate from others if possible. Do grocery shopping if possible and have a good sense of foods that are…

I'm from MA too, and not new either, need to lose the 25 I've put back on since last summer... Looking for new friends as so many have dropped off since first time around.

My story isn't counseling per se, but definitely talking things out with someone else. It's my very first post at wellnesswithspecialneeds.blogspot.com if you want to check it out.

I was right there once, not too long ago too. Lost to 90% of goal weight! but been slowly putting it back on, so back for round 2. Looking for new friends

Dani, thanks for shout out and encouragement with 5k,, fire girly sorry, it keeps autocorrecting the space on me, I too wish there was a notification, but not sure. I think if okay I'll send friend requests to you both. I'll see if my wife will too (fragile123). We (my kids are 12 yo boy and 10 girl) all climbed Wachusett…

Tricia - my wife and I are nearby (Hubbardston), kids are 12 and 10. We both work in Worcester. If your getting groups together or such, let us know. I think we're doing our first 5k in Worcester for Autism Resource Center on April 27, we love to hike and geocache too. Our son is Autistic, so he keeps us very busy :-)…

Your best bet may be to wear a heart rate monitor, since those will figure calories burned in real time. Just need to assess whether calories burned is accurate for you as they fluctuate some depending on model and such.

I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes at the age of 29. For most of the next 13 years I did nothing significant to change that. I was about 300 pounds for much of that time, I ate like I didn't care, had sugars in the 400 and 500s more than anyone has a right to and not lose a leg, literally. My A1Cs were frequently in…

I've moved from have you lost weight, to your wasting away, to when are you going to stop, to recently having people at work speculating how or when I got gastric bypass surgery (I didn't) last summer to have lost all the weight. It's sort of stages of denial by others. I'm now at the you don't need to lose any more…

Just got there this week too, after over 30 years above that milestone. Congrats!!!

I am finishing my first round of P90x (original) I bought years ago then lt collect dust until I was "ready". Finally started after shifting the diet last fall. I've been debating doing it again or buying 3. With summer coming I figure the shorter work out inside with other exercise daily makes sense. Heartened to see your…

I've done p90x for 8 weeks so far and find I lose little during regular weeks, but drop a lot on recovery weeks. I was dropping consistently before I started for months before I added it in though. For me I found higher protein, lower carbs has worked to keep me feeling full and lose consistently. Cottage cheese and boiled…

This may not be entirely helpful - but there is this long ago obscure song this and New Year Resolutions always remind me of "Im giving up, giving up" Helps me both to not get obsessive with my focus and remember the most important part of anything is persistence. Hope this helps, It's what I always give up!

Most wonderful. I am glad things are moving again and wish you the best.

We all need friends. I'll send a request.

Good work, keep at it!
-
Wonderful work! Half way and you must feel great!

When I started I quickly got an ulcerated toe and could barely walk for 6 weeks, then was slow to get into the exercise groove, maybe 6 more. In that time with diet alone I lost 40 or 50 pounds. I've started exercising again, but am losing less (but definitely healthier and building muscle) than when it was just diet. So…

Extraordinary work! Keep at it.

Anecdotal only, but cutting out diet soda has been one of the best changes I made, and got me to both enjoy fruits and veggies and just feel much better generally. I also cut out caffeine too, which has also been great for me. It was tough to get off everything, but once it got out of my system, my wellness and weight loss…

I joined the merely overweight, not obese club this past week too! Feels great to be here. Glad you are too!

Nice Video, glad for your success. Keep at it.

When I started my current exercise regime a month ago, I could do 3, now I can do 10, I would like to get to a point where I can do 100, so I'm keeping at it.
-
Very nicely done. Glad for your success!

Bicycled across America and only had one pair of underwear and shorts for days off the bike. My wife too!

A wonderful inspiring triumph. Alot of what you say resonates. Thank you for sharing!

I don't know how much you have to lose, but in my case I am keeping stuff that is loose but still functional only because I don't want to buy too much now since I'm not quite halfway to my ultimate goal. Reframe to success in your outlook and it won't matter if you keep or lose the old ones!

What a vivacious smile, you've done wonderfully!
