The majority of people that I've experienced are simply resistant to make lasting, permanent life changes. They want to eat garbage before taking a half-mile stroll after dinner and have that be enough to be fit and healthy. It doesn't work that way.

You may want to drink more water throughout the day or consider eating smaller meals more often during the day. I eat 6 meals through out the day.

It's going to hurt and be uncomfortable until you build up some tolerance for it. The pain means it's working. "Sack" up and keep moving. You'll get stronger and better the more you do it.
