I had a social event show up unannounced last night. I enjoyed the heck out of myself, and tracked my food AFTER the fact. I went over. By a LOT! But it isn't the end of the world. It doesn't knock me off the wagon. It was one day, and we get up and move on the next day. If I know ahead of time about the event, and I plan…

One of my friends turned me on to this site about a week ago. I LOVE IT! It helps me see what I may (possibly) look like at my goal weight.

Gender: Female Age: 27 Height: 5'5" Starting weight: 330 Current Weight: 318 Goal weight: 150 (or less, it depends on how I feel with my composition when I get ALL the way down there) Activity level: Sedentary (goal of 5K steps a day). Weight loss goal: ~1 lb a week, estimating conservatively ~36 lbs a year (so I don't get…

Binged watched it over the weekend. Love it so much, I re-watched the entire season 2. I despise Pornstache. <3 RED!! But I'm biased, I've loved the actress since ST:Voyager.

I will fall in that "95%" group because when I get to goal, or close to goal, I'm planning on getting knocked up. So I will end up gaining a small percentage back, which I will diligently work on losing again between and after the babies are born. I wonder about the sample of people that was used to get that statistic.…

I'm eating 2000+ (goal is 2270 net, so with exercise I can go sometimes as high as 2800). I'm losing about 1-1.5 lbs a week.

Mine is open to my friends. I leave random notes in my diary too. But most of it is self-explanatory. If not, my friends are more than welcome to ask me about it.

I've never tried it but I want to. Best of luck on the pole! :)

1 oz of pistachios unshelled = 170 cals 30g of yogurt or chocolate covered raisins = 120 cals 1/2 cup cottage cheese w/ 1 cup pre-packaged pinapple = 150 cals These have been my go-tos for the past week or so.

Could this have been like an initiation prank he was subjected to as the newest employee? Regardless, I think you two need to talk. Wow! OMG!

^^^ this & I'll add you should double check your entries against the USDA nutrient database for a more accurate calorie count.

I think if you change your outlook / approach / mentality about this, it might help you stick with this. This isn't a DIET. This is changing your lifestyle for the better. To fix your relationship with food. This isn't about being overly restrictive. Have you considered going to individual counseling or therapy? From the…

This is how I do it. 1) Weigh the empty pot you're going to be making the dish in; write it down for safe keeping 2) Prepare the dish, and weigh it 3) Subtract the weight of the empty dish from the full one = weight of food 4) Divide weight of food by the number of servings you have MFP set up to calculate This should get…

This is my BIGGEST fear!!!! I was 250 lbs when I met my husband, 275 when I married him. What happens if he doesn't love my body when I'm 150??
-
The -20% thing is when you calculate your TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) which will include any exercise you do, so you eat x amount each day and it doesn't deviate. If you're just starting out, I recommend you go to "Goals" on MFP and enter your data, put 1 lb to lose, and see what it spits out. Eat 50-75% of your…

The calories goal sounds about right. I'm 5'5" and 318.6 and my goal is 2270.

I tend to log my food on the computer instead of the app. Those msgs would annoy the heck out of me.

Met at 19, married at 23. We picked out a pink sapphire ring for $300 for the engagement ring (I don't like diamonds, personally). Got the wedding band for $80. We don't have everything figured out. We didn't think we did at 23 either. I've never considered divorcing my husband, but it isn't something that I don't think…

I have one and I love it. But I'm actually looking to get another one that has a higher weight capacity for when I do batch cooking or crock pot cooking. The food scale I have now cannot weigh anything heavier than 5 lbs, and my crock pot is actually heavier than that EMPTY. HA!

I personally try to stay away from aspartame and high fructose corn syrup. Those are my choices for my body. No one else has to follow suit. With that being said, I do still drink soda, when it can fit in my calories goals. I use a soda maker to make it at home with syrups that use sugar instead of high fructose corn…

Ouch! This makes me a little depressed. :( Your numbers Obesity Index 53bmi BMI is an estimate of how "overweight" or "obese" a person is National: Above average You have a higher BMI than 100% of females aged 15-29 in your country Global: Above average You have a higher BMI than 100% of females aged 15-29 in the world Did…

I think you're eating WAY too little, which caused your binge. Are you eating your exercise calories back? Cause your OP doesn't sound like you are. I did a quick calculation here: http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ and with 3-5 hours per week of moderate exercise you're TDEE is 2280. To lose 1 lb a week, you…

When you're looking at the food database on the web (versus the phone app), if an entry has a * in front of it, it is a user generated entry. I ALWAYS check the entry again the nutrition facts on the label or against the USDA nutrient database (for non-processed food items - produce, generic chicken breast, etc). Once I…

"I'm proud of you for........." "You look fantastic!" "I saw you logged today, it was a great day. And YOU did that!" Things like that, just don't add any qualifiers to the end like, "for someone your size" or "but it's only be x amount of time." The qualifiers is where it turns from nice and encouraging to a slap in the…

I walk as fast as I can for 25 minutes during my 30 minute lunch break. Aside from that, I'm in my chair most of the 8+ hours a day. I do try to get up every few hours to stretch.
-
I bring leftovers, a salad, a protein bar, and 2-4 snacks (varies).

^^^ This. Don't get impatient. You didn't gain it all in 18 days, so don't expect to lose it all in 18 days either. Work the program and let the program work for you.

Open up your diary. People will be able to give better suggestions with more information.
