Dude you are crushing it. Awesome.

You look phenomenal!

I have a Versa 2 but I don't find it as accurate as a heartrate monitor strapped to my chest. 100$ and it gives me a way more accurate calorie burn estimate for my daily spin classes.

I've had 3-4 Fibit watches over the years. They motivated me to aim for high step counts and then I discovered their calorie burns were wildly overestimated. Other than keeping track of steps, they're useless for me. I use a Polar heartrate monitor for any cardio exercises and am thinking of buying Garmin next time.

Agreed. This is why I don't really like reading those MFP articles that promote one form of weight loss that everyone says they shed 10 pounds per month. Slow and steady wins the race. Instant gratification is everywhere. Moderation is out, excess is in. It takes effort to detach yourself from the constant push to indulge.
-
Definitely see changes there. Congrats!

"Live well - it is the best revenge". I would be tempted to print out your MFP eating history and any exercise you've done, along with a nice graph of your weight loss and send it for the doctor's reading.

Agreed. Ever day I eat between 1760 and 1900 calories. I have only hit the 1k calorie mark once and that day I was quite hungry so I will eat back to satiety. I cannot force myself to eat more than feeling full or else I will be completely sick. At this point I am going with how my body and mind feel. If I continue to have…

Amazing. If I can ask, do you follow a particular program in the gym? Cheers.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before: By losing weight, by making a commitment to your physical and mental well-being, consistently, you are in a community that the majority of people on the outside cannot understand. Some people might be threatened by this vision, and even more so by your new changes. It takes…

Great post. When I sleep poorly, my motivation tanks, I'm constantly hungry, I generally feel like garbage and the day is a write-off. When I sleep well, I'm ready to crush it. A HUGE ONE for me - When I am up early, like 5am, my motivation is sky-high and I am ready to conquer the day. If I sleep in until 6:30, it's gone.…

More thoughts that work for me: Sit down and put small, doable goals on paper. These need to actionable and entirely realistic. Stuff like "lose 15 pounds" isn't workable unless you have a steel mind. Something like "go walking for 25 minutes a day". Also write a weekly goal. Make these goals entirely achievable and every…

Yesterday morning I was 238.2 on the scale. This morning on an empty stomach I weighed 234.9. Water retention, food, all contribute. In the past I've had an exemplary 2 week calorie deficit goal, mixed in with exercise, and then after 2 weeks to the day nothing registers on the scale. Then 2 days after that I register a…

I'm 42 and middle-aged? :'( :'( :'(

3 goals: Doing 1hr of cardio daily on my Peloton and building stamina and keeping my 3 week streak alive. I am hooked. Tracking my points daily for as long as I can. Surviving the 8 weeks left of lockdown and the online teaching/learning fatigue we are all going through in my primary class...

"My problem is I don’t stick to anything." Hi, this for me seems to be the biggest problem. Consistency is the key, along with diet. There is no mention of calories in/out. I have restarted my journey from years ago. I am in week 3 of exercise and tracking calories. This is what I have done: - I do cardio on my stationary…

Absolutely smoking. Awesome work.

Bro you are a beast. Awesome. Tons of respect sent your way for that challenge. You crushed it.

Is the scale busted? No joke, the battery in my old one was semi-dead and the digital readouts were fluctuating.
-
What about "resetting your metabolism", like it was a clock? :s

The lockdown. I was crushing work daily in front of a computer teaching, then I realized my 15k steps was being reduced to 2-3k a day. I ordered a peloton, and once I actually turned it on and configured it, I've been on it daily. My biggest fear throughout this entire year of lockdown has been emerging from it later,…

I bought one a month ago. I was relegated to teaching at home and was seated for 6 hrs non stop. I felt guilt and pulled the trigger and bought one. I am absolutely addicted and have shredded all previous exercise routines with it. I am on it daily. Before that I had purchased another stationary bike that now sits unused.…

The stats you've shown for those food values are suspicious. Best to use another verified database to doublecheck. I've come across user-inputted values for food that were way off.

When people complain about (insert real struggle) and you know they've done jack *kitten* to remedy it, much less make an effort.

Ma cherie, I swear it, I smell good ^_^

Physical aspects aside, a strong-willed, independent driven woman with confidence who rejects the victim mentality so prevalent in today's society.

Walking is insanely beneficial, especially in the beginning. Lost 35 pounds alone in 6 months by doing around 100km a week walking, aiming for different neighbourhoods and at specific speeds (8min/km, etc). Awesome job man!
-
Your bloodwork and other stats must have changed dramatically. Amazing work. Congratulations bro.

Holy crap everyone looks amazing. Kudos to everyone posting pics that show skin - takes courage!

-I hit 40 this year and told myself enough was enough. I have a 2 year old son who looks up to me. I don't want to be huffing and puffing after him later. -My old man did zip for his health when he was alive. Sitting on my *kitten* was what I learned at home. -I lost a colleague to cancer several years ago. It hit me like…
