YES. It is a huge celebration in that state. It is one of the most celebrated Mexican pride celebrations for sure. It is celebrated on the California border as well. There is a huge Mexican population so in T.J. and all of California celebrate it. No offense to the OP, and their American version of Mexican food, but one…

I am MexiCan. I'd say all of you should quit while your ahead and remember you have the right to remain silent, and what ever you say, can and will be used against you in MFP forums. "The Battle of the Puebla" is celebrated in Mexico, just out side of Mexico City ( where the battle took place) There is a huge festival and…

I've been training in the gym for over 2 years now, and I can tell you from my experience that macros makes a huge difference as well as caloric intake and calories burned. I want to build muscle and lean out. That's what my goal was. I'm hoping to compete. I also took a quick look at all the posts here on peeking into her…

I've been lifting for 2 years and I eat potatoes and pasta. Cardio does not make you look like a fitness model, Lifting does. AND I do not look like a man. My actual goal is to hopefully compete in fitness. You have to lift, you have to eat, but most of all stop telling yourself that you don't. Ooooooooh if only someone…

My trainer explained to me that " starvation mode" was , not fueling the body enough and causing plateaus. That's probably his way of simplifying it. I have never heard of gaining weight ... That sounds absolutely retarded to me. Well good thing you told me that, I had no ideal people thought that-that was starvation mode…

Oh that's just mean! Anyone who guesses my weight thinks I'm 115 or 120. I'm 140. And they're so shocked, but I'm muscle. I think it should matter to you what you feel when you look in the mirror. That's what's important. Your health and how you feel. I'm rooting for you. Some people are such haters. Don't let them get in…

Dude!! Where are you getting your information from? My trainer NEVER told me that starvation mode was the body putting on fat. Wtf are you talking about, seriously. ????. And I was answering post above me, once again you should read. OP: If you really want some good info here's a helpful site:…

http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/974889-in-place-of-a-road-map-short-n-sweet Check this out before they tell you your not in starvation mode . I was where you are now until I read this. Awesome stuff.

who said starvation mode made you gain weight? I did not say that. So next time, you should take the time to read before you comment. Thank you. Moving on. Starvation mode is real, it simply means eating to little netting below 1200 calories after working out or eating below 1200 calories. You can lose weight, but…

I had been eating 1200 calories with the same work out for over a year only lost 25 pounds the first 4 months, and haven't lost since I first started 2 years ago and have plateaued ever since. I was hungry, tired, had headaches and my hair was falling out. Then I upped my calories as I burned more and start lifting…

at 133 lbs size 6, I was skinny, but after lifting weights I went up to 145 size 3-4, I was smaller in inches everywhere, but slightly bigger in my arms. fat is more "fluffy", so yes, you'd be smaller in inches because you've lost body fat but put on lean muscle, so the scale might go up, while your clothes are falling off…

I have a Polar FT4 with a chest strap. I wear it for cardio and weight lifting to keep track of my calorie burn, so I know if I should be eating more or less as I lose weight. I found its helped me a lot in building muscle and dropping fat, to continually adjust and calculate my macros as I progress. 45 bucks at Sears.

(Sigh).......... ok, I'm 39 years old, mother of 3. I weighed 124 after my last kid at 24 years of age, before any kids- I was 115. At my heaviest I was 154 ( I know) then went down to 133. I looked crazy skinny ( I did dieting with ZERO exercise) then I decided to get tone, since I was all flabby and deflated. I went from…

I know! So are you ok? Are you pregnant yet?

Anyone can. I was plateau for over 7 months, had to completely change my work out routine and macros and calorie intake. But even then, I still made progress with measurement's and dropped body fat% but gained muscle during that time, now I'm losing weight on the scale again. It happens.

What your saying is crap! HelloitsDan is absolutely correct. I had been eating 1200 calories with the same work out for over a year only lost 25 pounds the first 4 months, and haven't lost since I first started 2 years ago and have plateaued ever since. When Dan Told me this same thing he's telling the OP, Upped my…

maybe they are looking for females friends? (or it could just be they only feel comfortable with other females.) maybe you didn't send a message as to why you friend requested them? I deny them all the time without one. or your level of fitness intimidates them or they could have got tons of requests and haven't got to you…
