I can't believe that adults are arguing in this manner about the phrasing of a sentence, it is quite clear what the poster meant, in psychological theory it is argued that where a sentence's true meaning is obvious there is no need to explain its literal meaning. Posters saying 'how can a lb of one substance weight more…

I would just eat a smaller portion of the same meal so that it fits my calorie goal

Sorry point a) was meant to say when you are NOT measuring exactly- best to use a food scale and weigh it all up

As said above, 1500cals is likely to still be a deficit, just a lower one than usual so although you may feel as though you've eaten a lot this will not cause any fat gain (though food like macdonalds will be high in sodium that could cause temporary water retention) and in fact should still contribute to a weight loss so…

Sometimes stalls in weight loss happen when a) you are measuring everything you eat exactly, b) when you actually need to up your calorie intake and c) when you need to try something new in terms of your exercise to give yourself a kick start. I should say though that I'm not an expert and there may be many other things…

Could it be that you aren't pushing yourself quite as hard as you were when you had the DVD telling you what to do? This might not be the case at all but I find it much easier to work hard when I have a trainer or something pushing me on. It could also be what Guamybear said and you're just getting fitter, when I did…

Was going to have a rest day but decided to do a short workout at home, 30 mins rotating between things like squats, lunges, push ups, crunches and dumbbell work for strength and high knees, butt kicks and star jumps to kick my heart rate up a bit

Agree with what's been said on here, if you're not hungry throughout the day there is no reason you have to eat, I tend to eat very little in the day and have a larger dinner plus evening snack which I much prefer so just eat when you're hungry and save some cals for the nighttime

would like to be at my goal weight of 119 by christmas (or maybe 2lb below to give wiggle room for xmas and boxing day) that's a 24lb loss and would be just under 2lb per week which might be quite a challenge but i'll be trying my hardest

I'm 20 years old and am coming up to my last week of insanity, some of my tips would be: -don't focus on the scale, it can be disheartening to see no movement in weight when you're working out that hard but definitely take before measurements and that, along with massive fitness improvements, is where you'll notice the…

Do you mean that the calories of the protein shake and one meal would be making up your entire suggested daily calorie intake (e.g. 1500 cals or whatever your target is between the two)? If this is the case then eating this way won't affect your health as far as I understand but if this is a way to dramatically cut…
