Same for me too. I had been using it for months, pretty much every day. Now I tend to log in and put my daily food down maybe once a week. I think that it is better to have a break then come back wanting to get back into it, rather than lose interest completely. I also think that after logging in every day for a few…

Hi ya. Welcome and well done for taking the first step. Just make some goals, get some friends, and go for it! The good thing about this is that you can't lie and cheat yourself. Seeing others getting on and doing it is a big motivator. If you want friends - just add me!

Just read the other post, forgot to mention my weight. I think I only lost about 6lbs, but that's after 3 or 4 weeks. My percentage body fat came down from 37.1% to 35.5%. It is hard work to find time to fit it in almost every day, but worth it I think.

Hi. I started off and did 3 weeks of it religiously in terms of exercise, but I pretty much ignored the diet. I just joined myfitnesspal and logged my food to keep a check on cals and protein etc. I didn't eat nearly as much protein as they suggested, but, I'm currently doing a Nutritional Therapy degree and they say that…

Yes, great work. What was the time scale? You look fab!

I hear and see this time and time again. People get jealous of your discipline and will power. It's their failing, not yours. Stick with it, you are doing fantastic. You have seen past all the hype and crap and gone for good food (or are on your way, doing the best you can). Others are either too lazy, ignorant, or just…

Yes, that is amazing! What is the ONE thing you think has been the main factor in you losing all that weight?

It is all just a guideline, as when you weight train you continue to burn more calories for longer too.

Sounds lovely. Thanks.

Yes, tell them that you are implementing healthy eating with some moderate exercise to be healthy as you want a long and happy life. Tell them how much more energy you have now and how things have got better (eg. dry skin gone etc). What you need is a friend to be around when they visit who praises you and comments on how…

Hi What exactly have you tried and for how long? What is an average couple of days for you with regards to food and exercise?
-
Stand on the band to make it tighter (giving you less length to pull) - if you see what I mean.

Love it! Ha ha.

I love Greek yoghurt in a smoothie!

Yes, icing is great advice. Also rest, if you can. If not, alter your exercise so that it puts emphasis on something else - ie. do upper body for a couple of sessions before you go back to legs. Shin splints are usually where the muscle has swollen inside the protective sheath from repeated use. The icing will help take…

I have just done my first day on P90X - never heard of Insanity. I'll see how I get on with the P90X, but I did like the first day. I think you can get round having to have lots of equipment. I already have some weights, but you can get resistant bands fairly cheaply on EBay. They recommend a HR monitor, but I think it's…

Hi Hannah Welcome! I'm fairly new to this too - and am already addicted to my food diary! I'd say using weights and bands to train as you don't need much space - and as long as you place them down on a soft area when you finish, should be quiet. If you used high reps and low weights it will be a good exercise for you.…
