Someone that hadnt seen me in years gasped and said ÿouŕe fat as a hog!!!! loudly in Walmart. Yeah its funny now. I wear a size 16 now and just lost over 40 lbs.She didnt even see me @ my highest weight. I think I weighed about 170 and thats what I weigh now. But my highest weight was 227.

People who qualify for weight loss surgery usually have tried everything. A person who has 500 lbs of fat is kind of trapped. I agree with Melatonin, good sleep habits, limit caffiene intake, turn off the tv and make your bedroom a peaceful place.

Do whatever works for you, I am flexible with my calories I usually eat between 1200-1400 calories, Im 58, hypothyroid and lose weight just fine.

It was like that at first for me but now my family is eating healthier too. But i've found you have to do it for you. Everyone gets bored of hearing about my progress, I don't blame them. So I talk less about it and just do it for me.

I plan to keep using it when I reach my goal b/c I love the friends here and logging, its just routine for me. I don't mind it and it keeps me accountable. When I get to maintenance that will be a whole new struggle so I'm thinking I'll still need MFP!!

I do sometimes think of giving up but it's rare. Since I've lost 40 lbs I feel so much better and that motivates me to keep going. I don't want to go back to where I came from and I'm excited that one day I'll reach my goal. Also it was hard work getting where I am and I don't want to lose that.

Satisfying my cravings by substituting lower calorie foods for higher calorie foods. Like instead of fried chicken, baked chicken, instead of cake, melon, Also quit drinking sodas, diet or other wise. I was a true addict but I stopped cold turkey. For me food like icecream, cake, candybars b/c icecream makes my stomach hurt and cake, cookies candybars are trigger foods to binge and I leave them off my diet for now. If MFP still exists, and I can still type, I'm a lifer. I enjoy it and it helps me to be accountable to myself. I don't stress out about it though but I guess I'm obsessed b/c I don't want to go back to weighing 227 lbs.

I like walking and listening to my favorite music, doing yard work, or deep cleaning in the house. One of my pals says to honor personal preference and that's the key to success. I have a fitbit and try to challenge myself to walk at least 5 miles a day. I have walk steadily for 1 hour but the rest is just moving around…

My highest weight was 227. Eating lots of carbs and ALOT of sugar. Not moving, Sedentary job.. It was easy going on but hard coming off. Before vacation I was down to 178. I've got 48 lbs to lose. It's a lot easier to gain than the lose. In fact yesterday I ate around 1800 calories just eating "normally".

I've given away some of mine that were really big now all my clothes are baggy but I can't afford to buy new stuff just yet so I'm hanging on to them a while longer. By Christmas I hope to be in a size 10/12. I'm medium frame so that's normal for me.

I eat fruit every day and it has helped me so much with craving pastries, cakes, ice cream and candy. The fiber is a plus. As long as you have a deficit then you're going to cont. to lose wt.
