since starting my weight loss journey, I've also kicked a life-long habit of biting my nails! what are some other successes you've had since adapting a healthy lifestyle?

I cut my grass every four days like it needs (instead of every two weeks or more when it's unmanageable)
I've successfully learned how much less a serving size is than what I was actually consuming
I've been successful at doing everything physical better, with less strain and effort.0 -
I am not stumbling and falling down. I can climb the stairs with little effort. I have stopped drinking diet coke every day and drinking more water.0

Quit smoking 11 years ago after puffing for 15 years. Surprised how easy it was as i just got a 30 day patch plan from Frys.
oops. that was prior to my WOE.0 -
I've stayed with my current job for just over 1 year.
For me, and most responsible adults, that doesn't seem like a big success. I have held other jobs for 5 years and longer.
But I went through a very huge time of transition in my life in 2011-2012 (tornado, divorce, two moves & lots more) and I bounced around a bunch and couldn't keep a job for long. I was never fired, I left on my own usually after just a few weeks...but it was rough psychologically. I had to deal w/ some really stressful situations and my lifelong GAD was at an all-time peak of horrible panicky misery (eased with counseling). I'm proud to be in a more stable position again!0 -

i completely understand where you're coming from and that is a HUGE success. I'm having a hard time with my job but given my circumstances, i have to stay here until i can find something better and it has been extremely difficult. kudos to you!0 -

My heart rate has dropped by 20 beats a minute when I'm doing strenuous exercise. I dig that!
None of my jeans fit. Luckily, I saved two pairs that were my favorites. I haven't been able to wear them for a few years and wore them both this week.0 -
Thank you very much. I hope you find a better place for you jobwise.
Thanks for starting this positive thread!!0 -
I can work on my elliptical for 60 minutes almost straight (I do have to switch it up every 20 minutes or so, and get on my stationary bike for a few minutes), but to complete 60 minutes on the elliptical is miraculous to/for me.
I can lift almost 100lbs...that may sound like baby stuff, but it's like lifting 10,000lbs to/for me
I can walk for 2 hours straight and not get winded or feel like I'm going to faint--that's fabulous to/for me.
My patience is getting better, with others and myself.
I'm getting closer and closer to The Lord...my personal relationship with Jesus is getting back to the place where it was when I first met Him and gave my life to him--30 something years ago, that's my greatest and BEST success to/for me thus far!0 -
I climbed a latter this week!!!! (Something I couldnt do before I lost 45 lbs!) I quit drinking diet and regular sodas.0
